bmags
QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 02:54 PM) So I was watching Chicago Fire last night with the girlfriend, and since the show takes place in Chicago, and of course they want to add in some local flavor to each episode, last night they had a scene where the firefighters were in the station watching baseball games. They were arguing about the Cubs vs the Sox while watching a Sox game. Then one guy shouts out "Be quiet, I am trying to listen to 'The Hawk.'" Dead give away that the writers have no clue... They were filming that s*** on my block on Friday night. What a pain in the ass that was. It started from 6pm until 2am, the rerouting made no sense, and I had no idea where the fullerton bus was picking people up. Screw that show. bmags
GoT question: In the season premiere, what was the castle they were at that was massacred and burned? I thought that was at Winterfell, but then in last night's they get a letter from winterfell. I'm not the best at keepin track, any help appreciated. Steve9347
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) I'm a huge fan of the show but last night was a little dull. But it was a "catching up" episode, so I expected that. I feel like it being two hours made it pretty horrific. If that's broken up into two episodes, it doesn't come off as as boring. That said, there was still plenty of good s***.

BigSqwert
The side story of Betty hanging out in the ghetto and that squatter's house seemed very unrealistic. Overall, the episode was pretty solid.

Better than most. The fire station is just south of little italy, the bar that is always filmed is lottie's in bucktown.
Jake
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 03:55 PM) The side story of Betty hanging out in the ghetto and that squatter's house seemed very unrealistic. Overall, the episode was pretty solid. She's just nuts -- how'd you like that awful rape joke? I think she's just caught in between -- she's very much embedded in a 50's type of cultural mindset that is unfriendly to the housewife, so she's curious about the late 60's stuff she's made contact with such as that ghetto. She just has no clue how to act out though; that hair? I really think there's no hope for that character. So Don is messing around again...but I'm not sure if he's enjoying it like he used to. He didn't seem happy to be with Mrs. Rosen. The whole episode was very morbid, too. They need to be careful not to recycle the "Don is womanizer" plot, so I'm interested in how they will proceed. It is also interesting how we see Peggy realizing that her leadership style is just like Don's and that it doesn't really work. Her relationship with Stan is interesting, too. Male-female relationship without any apparent sexual tension? Seems progressive, maybe even idealistic. Will be curious to see if it stays that way or if they become more or less involved. I typically agree, but Dany is smokin' as a silver-hair, didn't think she would top that look. Also, she dates Seth McFarlane, lucky guy. ChiliIrishHammock24
I can't stand how Frank is wondering at the end of the Shameless finale. It's going to drive me nuts thinking about where he is going. Home? Somewhere specific? Wandering aimlessly? ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 12:12 AM) Shameless finale was f***ing superb. I hated that Jimmy's fate was basically not touched upon at all. And I'm also worried the show might be losing characters. I haven't seen or heard anything but with Ian, Lip, Jody/Karen all leaving Michigan it sets up an exit plan for them.
