You're 100% correct. Any and all of this book talk should be in a separate thread, maybe the Books discussion thread? This is the TV thread...the only GoT spoilers should be the show up until S03E09...and discussion on what people(non book readers) think is going to happen. Well, in the book there are alot of main characters as each chapter is written from a POV of a different one. But overall they were kind of your "good side" main people. Don't you watch that garbage show Davinci's Demons? But you refuse to watch a great HBO show? I just don't get hating on Game of Thrones for no particular reason. I don't like Lord of the Rings, for instance (bracing for the "GoT is TOTALLY different!" posts. You get my point.). I've never been a huge fantasy guy myself but they are just so well written IMO. The parts that interest me are mostly the politics of war. I don't do fantasy stuff, unless I happen to have grown up with it, ala Star Wars, Harry Potter, LoTR, but even LoTR I have seen all the movies just once but can't tell you any specific details about anything. I generally like my shows/movies to be realistic or at least plausible. I don't give a s*** if people like GoT, I have nothing against it, it's just not anything I would ever be interested in.
