This truly is a shame. Some of my favorite games growing up were LucasArts productions, including Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, any of the Monkey Island games (although lets not kid ourselves, they weren't the same from the third release onward), the early Star Wars Jedi Knight games (Dark Forces, DF2, JKII, JA, KOTOR, KOTOR2 etc.) and of course the X-Wing vs Tie Fighter games. Big chunk of my childhood just got shutdown.

Wow, Dark Forces... memories of my childhood.

For those of you like me who didn't pay $60 to "upgrade" MLB The Show to 13, there is in fact an OSFM roster for the 2013 opening day available in the vault for MLB 12 The Show.

The rosters and starting lineups are money - just need to change a couple jersey numbers.

Did someone actually take the time to replicate the OSFM 2013 roster for MLB 12? I can't imagine the file works for both, considering how they changed the attribute system in 2013....

Joe, I'm not sure if they bothered to "replicate" it - they may have taken the last update from last year, and updated it for this year. It's money, though. I highly recommend it!

  • 4 weeks later...

Far Cry 3 was a good time. I'm sure this just continues that.

I picked up the GoW PS3 bundle a week ago. It's about 8 times lighter and half the size of my original 60gb launch ps3 that died. Pretty crazy how much tech changed in 5-6 years.

My roommate and I have been playing Borderlands 2, can't believe I never played this before, it's great.

That game is like crack, I got it on launch day and am still regularly playing it.

Completely understandable. Playing the same story twice (three times if you got the season pass/new level cap) to max out a character can get repetitive, not to mention farming for particular weapons. I'm kind of compulsive with leveling and getting new guns though, and there's enough content that I frequently come across side missions I haven't done in a while (sometimes ever, especially with some of the DLC).

FO3 was a good game, but New Vegas was much better if you haven't checked that one out yet.

Much glitchier though too. And dear god, until you are ready, some of those monsters just destroy the ever living s*** out of you.

Even at the end of the main campaign, Deathclaws are still ridiculously tough.

I didn't pick up NV until a few years after it was released, so I never had to deal with the inevitable Bethesda launch bugs.

I was the same, but there were times it was still a bit buggy for me.

Pretty sure I had a maxed out character with super guns, and if you came across 3-4 deathclaws coming at you, you were freaking screwed. Oh, and deathclaw promontory is stupid awesome.

Yeah, I definitely think New Vegas was the better game. Not to say there wasn't anything enjoyable about Fallout 3, because I loved it too.

Basically, I felt New Vegas was superior to Fallout 3 like KOTOR II was superior to KOTOR

I just found out there is finally going to be a sequel to the awesome Gamecube game Eternal Darkness, called Shadow of the Eternals. Very excited for that, it has been a while since I saw the Sanity meter on my TV :)
