How are the controls? I saw it in the App Store and was certainly curious.

I'll expand on what I posted. They WORK. I don't even think twice about them anymore. I enjoyed blowing up some baddies with an ice cream truck yesterday - I forgot how FUN GTA 3 was, given how kinda unfun GTA IV was on ps3. I hear they are bringing back the comedy for 5.

Father hires people to kill his son's video game character:

http://kotaku.com/5972406/father-hires-in+...on-from-playing

According to his father, Xiao Feng had terrible grades in school because of his gaming habit; he couldn't even land a job. He, however, says he simply couldn't find any work that he liked. Feng was annoyed that his son couldn't even tough it out for three months at a software development company.

Unhappy with his son not finding a job, Feng decided to hire players in his son's favorite online games to hunt down Xiao Feng.

I don't buy used games either, though I frequently sell back games I've played. That said, I'd happily see Gamestop rot. That place has screwed me over a couple times and I don't really care for the used games market as a business. As others mentioned some games already have activation codes as is anyway. This is just the next step.

The people there are dickfaces. However I fail to see how games can ever be purely downloadable which will always make those stores necessary.

Simply the size of the files comparable to blue-ray. Seems like a ton of downloading/storing to me vs changing discs.

500 MB/s internet will come soon enough, after all, Google's Fiber service is 128 MB/s.

It's going to be a long, long time before that's widely available and in all markets in the dozens of countries they sell games.

It'll also be a while before all games become download-only. But I can see something like that 5-10 years from now.

Assassin's Creed III was available as a digital download on release day. I didn't download it, but it had to be north of 20 GB. Huge games are already available digitally. I expect this upcoming generation of consoles to play heavier into that.

So we are looking at hard drives that need to upwards of 1TB for gaming consoles.

It looks awesome but I've never been able to get into playing Pokemon on ROMS. I prefer having the handheld console for some reason. My 3DS XL is fantastic.

I play it on an Android emulator on my phone.

Will try.

Hint: You get a starter from the first three generations pretty quickly, so while I normally had a Charmander, I got a Squirtle to go with my Cyndaquil and Treecko.

Best part is there are cutscenes and such and your character actually talks. It's a really well made ROM.

I was actually going to post that id guess the next generation consoles are 500gb+. It wouldnt surprise me if 1tb was the middle and that the high end were 1.5-2.

Essentially glorified PC's at that point. Which isnt surprising.

It is a cool ROM. Played it for like 25 min and my Squirtle got to level 14.
