Kyyle23
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 02:54 PM) So you're happy with a system that provides no games? Just admit it's a piece of s*** that you jumped on way too early. I have a robin's nest in my backyard that has almost as many games as the WiiU. No, I will be happy when I get my Mario, Zelda, Kart, Pikmin and some others like the Xeno game that Monolith is coming out with and Wonderful 101. I know what I like, as hard as it is for you to understand. I dont play any sports games, no COD, nothing like that. I play a lot of retro games on my WiiU already. Steve9347
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 02:59 PM) I'm mostly looking forward to the inevitable PS3 price drop so I can pick one up this winter/fall. I wonder how far that price will actually drop. It's still the best-performing bluray player on the market with wifi built-in, which commands a price tag. The added hard drive and ability to play games and PSN make me wonder how long they'll produce it. God, I love my PS3.

SexiAlexei
I actually like that when you install a game on the xbox one it saves it to your account, and you can download it at any time. It makes me not worry if I misplace a game What I don't like is that they're trying to milk as much money as possible from the gamers. You can't resell your games (not easily, and not person to person). Depending on what you're doing you have to log on either every 1 hour or 24 hours to verify you aren't playing a game you don't own. You can't just share games with friends. They claim that you don't own the games anymore, it's just "leasing". Now, after you come out and say that garbage, you can spin it any way you want. You can even go back and change it, but I won't support a company that thought that was a good idea in the first place. And who gives a F about an all in one entertainment center? I'm buying a gaming system to play games. If I want to watch TV, I have a cable box. If I want to record a tv show, I have a cable box. If I want to watch a dvd or stream netflix, I can already do that on PS3/4. I can connect my PS3/4 to my network and stream movies/music. I don't need Xbox one to tell me how great it is that I can watch TV on it, when I already have a cable box for that.

They drive me insane. Some slight tweaks and they could be right up there with Sony and MS, but they just refuse to take the big leap. But damn when they deliver, I am very happy. TaylorStSox
QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) What is this "news" I don't think anything has changed on Sony's part from yesterday? Edit: If it's Sony saying they're leaving it up the publishers, that isn't new. Last night they said they wouldn't be imposing anything. Which means they're leaving it up to the publishers, and hopefully we as gamers make the publishers who decide to do it pay financially. They've made a couple of clarifications on that. First party users will have no restrictions, while 3rd party users won't be able to play used games online unless approved by the publisher. I can't imagine publishers want people buying their games used. It comes down to how many games you play online.
Jenksismyhero
I think at $400 it's going to be a long time before the ps4 drops in price. Like years.

Soxbadger
QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 03:07 PM) Mario Kart 64 is the best in the series. End of Discussion. Fact Taylor, Playstation can try to control how a 3rd party licenses their product, but ultimately that contract is between 3rd party and end user. So Sony theoretically could have said "We wont allow any publisher who restricts rights to make games for Playstation", but Im pretty sure no one expected that. Square Enix can do what it wants with Square Enix stuff. When you buy a Square Enix title, you are bound to the terms of the agreement with SE. Not sure why Sony would get involved... I understand that, but was confused about Sony's statement yesterday. I thought they were ensuring that there wouldn't be any restrictions and they worked that out with publishers. Apparently, I wasn't the only one as CVG has updated some articles about it today.
ChiSox_Sonix
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 11, 2013 -> 03:48 PM) That's all you got? Just ignore the DRM news? I'm not ignoring anything. You're grasping at straws. XBox One controls the DRM to their games but Sony announces that 3rd party publishers will have that control over their own games and it becomes "LOL Sony"-worthy? Please. It shouldn't shock anyone that 3rd party publishers will maintain that control. Despite your initial post about this, this news is not a "win" for Microsoft

I don't play sports games, so that was never relevant to me. I can't think of any used games I've purchased and haven't been able to install updates or play multiplayer.
