I gave both Franklin and Trevor ridiculous beards in GTA 5.

Also, I don't have nearly as much time as I used to to play these games. I've had it for over a week and only just now did my first drug plane drop with Trevor.

There's so much to do in the game, it's like 1,000 games in one.

I'm gonna be in the minority here but I've yet to understand the love for GTA V. I'm not very far into the story yet (Franklin and the non crazy white guy just destroyed someone's house), but already I can tell this is yet another GTA game. Yes, that's obviously what it always was, but I dunno, it just feels too familiar. The dude on Grantland who I normally hate wrote a piece about maybe being too old for the game (although he's 40, i'm 31). Yet I kinda feel like maybe I'm too old for it now. I dunno that I can do open world games anymore. I normally only get 20-30 minutes to play a game and I need more structure a la The Last of Us or a sports game that I can just play a game and be done with it. GTA is almost too daunting and I don't have the energy to get sucked in (on top of it being super repetitive).

Truly sad for me. I have been buying them and Madden since the beginning. Those two and The Show are the only games I really play each year. I can feel my video game days slipping away. :snow

The good news for me is that Gran Turismo 6 is coming out December 6th.

And Watch Dogs comes out Nov. 15th.

Until about a month ago, the typically only bought 2 sports games a year, MLB The Show and NHL, but just in the last month I have purchased GTA 5, NHL 14, Bully, RDR: Undead Nightmare, Max Payne 3, Watchdogs, and GTA: Stories from Liberty City.

It's amazing what living on your own for the first time can do to ya. Severe boredom.

Yeah, I feel like I am getting close to. I just did the mission where you travel OUT of San Andreas, which feels like it's towards the end of the storyline.

Yeah, I'm about a heist after that. I only have the last big heist left.

That mission where you travel to North Yankton reminds me a lot of the mission in GTA San Andreas where you had to fly out to Liberty City.

I was trying not to spoil where you traveled to. *Doh*

And I really wanted to explore "that place", but I failed the mission the second I took a wrong turn. Damn.

And apparently the discovery of credit cards.

About to start "The Big Score" the final Heist mission in GTA 5. I picked the cheapest team possible, but one of those is that Mary or Maria driver who is an amazing driver, but only takes a 5% cut. Hoping to clear at least $30M per character, then with some assassination missions left, I'd like to try to get at least 1 of my characters over $150M, so I can buy that golf course.

I'm still fairly early in the game (just did

the mission where Michael gets high

), but I like it a lot more than IV. I thought they took things way too seriously with that one and the characters were mostly forgettable (and the ones that weren't were because I found them annoying as hell). I've already done a bunch of crazy s*** and I find the characters far more interesting. I also LOVE that they finally added in-mission checkpoints. I almost broke my controller at the end of IV because I had to repeat the last mission from the very beginning like 20 times because I kept missing the jump in the middle. No more!

The lack of checkpoints was a gamebreaker for me in GTA 4. I didn't mind the story or the rest of the game, but I got sick and tired of driving 5 minutes to start every mission that I failed. So stupid.

I just finished the last big heist in GTA V.

It was so hard to get away from the cops with 6 stars that I just used the wanted level cheat. I told myself I wouldn't use cheats...but I got fed up and used one.

Seriously? Which method did you choose? I didn't have any wanted level when I did the plan with the 4 muscle cars. I ended up making $34M each, and now after playing some stock market, each of my characters ended up with just under $200M before I started buying every property.

I chose the one where I got to kill just about everyone who came at me. Not the smartest idea, but it was more fun.

I think I got $31 million each.
