Though everyone will likely laugh, they'll likely be doing it to fit in, all the while thinking "what the f***?"

Try to create memories in a different way. I wouldn't want that to be the lasting image from my wedding.

Seriously, what is the lasting image you have of anyone else's wedding?

The fiancée and her bridesmaids wanted to come up with something goofy to do since this is at our house...perhaps it is a bit over the top...back to the drawing board ;)

Now that's not very nice!

I rescind your invitation :)

Sorry bro!

The thing about weddings is that a good portion of people there will be talking s*** about it. Whether is location, colors, food, booze, music. Someone will think something you did was stupid. My wife and I weren't crazy about spending our money on much but food booze and transportation. I'm sure people were taking s*** about our homemade centerpieces. Fact is, it's my wedding so I don't care. As long as your family and the wedding party have fun, the rest is bulls***.

No, you're right...our thinking is this is Las Vegas, we have a bunch of friends & family coming out, everyone wants to have fun here...it's not a typical wedding in a typical suburb, and it's also not a typical wedding at a casino venue or whatever. It's a wedding on our property, and it's going to be fairly intimate, and we just didn't want to take ourselves too seriously. The ceremony and the cocktail hour are all going to be pretty serious and classy, so we wanted to throw a curveball in there afterwards to get everyone in the right mood other than your typical "and give a warm welcome to Mr and Mrs. Blah blah blah!

But to each their own...

No one knows the people at your wedding better than you. If you think that is something theyd find amusing and not a waste of time, go for it.

Im not sure about the gorilla mask, but maybe there is some sort of inside joke that I dont get.

That is a play on the song...first line.

But regardless, I think whatever we choose to do, writing it out in an explanation makes it seem even more stupid than it will be acting it out.

Thanks for the comments though, everyone...I value your opinions.

It's your wedding so do what makes you happy.

Seriously, you are the one spending all of the money for it, and you have to live with it for the rest of your lives. Who cares what everyone else thinks. Do what will make it YOUR wedding, and have fun doing it.

Someone is going to hate something. We had freaking surf and turf at ours and it was awesome IMO and a few people complained saying they didnt like steak or lobster. Someone will hate the music. someone will think your venue sucks (ours was our friends contryclub).

I had a great time, our friends an immediate family were in our suite until 4am and thats all I really cared about.

100% true. It is YOUR night. Do what makes you happy. 90% of the people will get that. f*** the other 10%.

They'll f***ing leave early anyway.

The group I cared most about was around for the Piano Man finale of the night. Those are the memories I care about.

That is awesome. That is the stuff I am talking about.

2 friends have stolen it from then but it was our DJ's idea. Everyone "left" gets in a circle around the bridge and groom arm in arm and then everyone kind of sings. It was awesome.

Ours was a NYE wedding so this was at like 1 or 1:30 and a good portion of people were left. Probably 100.

The complainers are also the ones that give you like 100$ for 2-4 plates, too.

We were looking through all the pages for the money thinking it was a joke.

It was not a joke.

When we went through everything, there are certain people I wasn't expecting much from, as I know their situation, and I don't mind that, I invited them to have them there, not for money. But others that are just disrespectful, and you know they were talking crap about stuff they didn't like, who DO have the means, and give you like 100 bucks for something you paid 400$ for...they suck.

I try to be generous when I got to weddings, because I know how much the bride and groom spent on that dinner, etc.

I agree some people are cheap. We paid for our own wedding and spent quite a bit. We got $35 "gifts" from some COUPLES (down state family). Like, come on man, that's not even covering the pre-dinner salad.

Not to mention they tend to be the drunkest of the drunkards, filling up on open bar "free booze" you also paid for.
