Sox traded Drew Garcia to the Rockies. He seemed to be a Sox organizational guy--got a lot of spring training time over the last couple years. He gawn.

Sox get a PTBNL. Rockies have a lot of pretty good prospects.

I see Mitchell is back off the DL. Anyone know what's the health status with Hawkins?

Hawkins now resuming baseball activities, not sure of return date.

BHam now has an OF of Walker, Mitchell, Thompson and Earley. Someone is going to Charlotte soon I'd bet, and my guess is its Thompson.

I hope not. He's been playing much better in May and has gotten his K% down to a very respectable 21-22% but I'd like to see him continue the progress and try to expand on the power numbers for another couple months before pushing him forward. He's still just 22 so no need to rush him. I'd rather them send Earley to try and see whether he might have any sort of big league future (in any capacity) or not.

Moving Thompson up right now would be almost ridiculously aggressive.

Barons get LP Josh Romanski in a trade. Was in Yankees org. Does not specify others in the trade as of yet.

I can't find this in the usual places... what is your source? Just curious as there have been a couple times you had other minor league info like this that I couldn't find until later. I'm always searching for sources.

Drafted in '05 but didn't pitch in the minors until '10...

Drafted again in 08, played 4 or 5 games, as an outfielder, hurt his arm, had TJ surgery and was released. Yankees picked him up and started him out in A ball right away and had some hopes for him.

Drafted in 2005 but didn't sign. Drafted in 2008 and signed with the Brewers. Had Tommy John prior to the 2009 season and was released by Milwaukee in the offseason (seems awfully soon to release a 4th rounder). Yankees signed him, had mixed results.

If nothing else, it looks like he has a good arm. Pretty sure I said this in the Cody Puckett thread, but I like moves like this, and Romanski apparently has a live arm at the very least. Most likely nothing happens, but there's always a chance.

People were following him before this?

Anyway, as wite said, looks like a good guy to take a chance with, especially with the lack of lefty relievers in the Sox org.

You don't have to follow somebody to do a quick twitter search. Hell, you don't even need to have a twitter account. I don't.

I think you are missing what I am saying... are people searching, in Google or Twitter or anything else, for this guy or B-Ham every day? I was just curious how he heard about this. Of course I can see it now, I just wonder how he heard about it.

It was under the transactions tab on the Barons website, the usual place I look for transactions, almost missed it as it mentions Trenton as well.

I check the Barons, as well as the other Sox affiliates every day for transactions, I keep my own little Database with information. Something to do with my retirement days and keeps me a little involved in computer work (which I did for 30 years with IBM).

Ryan Buch released, Jake Cose moves up to W-S.

Anthony Bucciferro called up to Kanny to take Cose's place. Wonder if Kibby will go into rotation?

On a side note, sad to see CJ Retherford get released from the AA team he was on.
