This would concern me if I was going to keep him on the roster. I know most people don't think marijuana is a big deal but it has a major impact on athletes especially football players. The TCH in it drastically slows down the inflammation and healing process. This is why people can get a medical prescription for it for chronic inflammatory diseases. In football with the beating they take smoking it will slow down their recovery and extend injury times. Many NFL players would use it because it made their soreness the next day less but in reality it extended the problem. It's a short term feel good for long term bad effects.

We use to try to educate the players on it and some got it and others didn't. Sometimes there is a reason seemingly minor injuries take extra time to heal.

Interesting info, thanks.

When I used to drive down to school in Champaign, I would always try to keep it in the 70-72 range, never got stopped.

Slow down when you see the signs for Rantoul, especially if it's a traffic-heavy weekend (start/end of breaks, Mom's or Dad's weekends, etc.).

Well apparently you know the worst kind, but at least when it comes to highway cops most I've talked to or read about say 20mph is the cushion they give which is why I always stuck with only going 75 down 57 and never had a problem.

Well if you're ever in NY try driving 10-15 over and see how much fun you have

Can't wait to be extra paranoid on my trip to champaign tomorrow. I'm going to be checking my rearview mirror for an f16 gunning me down for going 74.

Also, I'm too old for unofficial.

Ive gotten tagged by the plane on 55 but not 57. Its shocking when it happens.

I was just driving along and there was 3 cops on the side of the road and one pointed to me and then to the side of the road.

Same here, never an issue.

Apparently Flacco is about to be the highest paid QB in history.

Rahim Moore deserves some of that money, if he doesn't make that bonehead play, Flacco is still just another s***ty QB.

Im not arguing that Flacco is an amazing superstar worth that kind of money, but his playoff run was pretty awesome. He threw for 3 TDs and 331 yards with a 116.2 PR in that game, even without that throw, he still had a pretty good game. Plus, he didnt have one turnover in the entire playoffs.

Very true, but without that play, his playoff run only lasts two games and a different QB wins the Super Bowl.

he definitely isnt worth the cheddar he is about to be making. But hey, who am i to argue, it isnt my team.

Why are people still paying attention to the dollar amount instead of the guaranteed money and actual cap hit?

According to this post, Flacco's cap hit this year is only $7 million.

$52 million guaranteed isn't that bad.

But Flacco truly had a career month...and it just so happened that his career month came in the playoffs.

Exactly. If Cutler had the same month and the same result happened for the Bears, and he was given the same contract, most Bears fans would call it a fair deal.

Chiefs didn't use tag on WR Dwayne Bowe because they didn't have to. Chiefs and Bowe have reached agreement on a five-year deal.

@AdamSchefter

Deal with Dwayne Bowe allows Chiefs to tag OL Branden Albert.

Stevie J was out doing some recruiting on Bowe, but I'm OK with the Bills not signing him. He is like the most enigmatic WR in the entire NFL. He is a top 5-10 talent sometimes and there are other times you wouldn't even know he was out there. Maybe Reid can get some more consistency out of him. Obviously having Matt Cassel throwing to him didn't help matters.

If they franchise Albert, they almost have to be looking pass rusher #1, don't they? They can trade down too, but they'd have to be willing to accept something really, really small to trade down (which wouldn't be a bad idea anyways).

Great news potentially for the Bears. Pushes all the OL down one spot.

But also takes an OL off of the free agent market and leaves other teams 1 fewer option to sign.
