I bet Melton wishes he would of took the Bears offer earlier.

Melton wasn't doing much, but the defensive line isn't getting any better without him.

The run for first down where Cutler f***ed up the DB is the marquee play of the game IMO.

I rewound that play so many times. Golden flying back should make a great gif.

It definitely sent a message.

Bears have given up 350 yards to AJ Green and Antonio Brown this year...CB has to be #1 priority this offseason....If Tillman is brought back I'd like to see him moved to safety. Get him around the ball more and get him off speedy WRs.

Said this one over at talkbears, worth repeating here.

The yardage here doesn't bother me quite as much as it did in the previous games.

The Bears had a big lead early. That meant the Steelers were going to be throwing the ball up in the air, taking high-risk chances to try to have a successful big play and get back into the game.

Meanwhile, the Bears were in the perfect situation to "Bend but not break", the more high-risk plays the steelers attempted the more likely something was going to go wrong for them.

That's the ideal situation for a team to pile up yards and an ideal situation for the defense to pull off a couple big turnovers, which is exactly what happened.

Peanut has never been good against smaller, quicker receivers like Brown. He only matches up well against bigger guys he can get physical with.

Teams that are +2 or better on turnovers for the season are 28-4

Teams that are -1 to +1 are 8-16

Teams that are -2 or worse are 10-25

Jets are the outlier in that they are -6 in turnovers but 2-1

They should be 1-2 and could have been 0-3. That team has had a rabbit's foot up their ass all year.

The Bears always seem like their record is better than their performance. One reason is turnovers. The other reason is special teams. One thing I liked about Lovie was his dedication to excellence on special teams. Between their kicker, punter, and returners, the Bears are always winning the field position battle. I just hope that the roughing the kicker penalty and blocked PAT are not a sign that the new regime has de-emphasized special teams.

Jennings was on Brown on his end of half touchdown, and Tillman was out most of second half. He had a bad game vs. Green but also was suffering of dehydration in the game after his long int return. I think we will see a hobbled Tillman more often b/c of his age, but a lot of what was driving me crazy last night was poor safety positioning again and Briggs not getting back far enough on dropbacks. He's leaving huge caps on the field. Frey as well. I've been completely unimpressed with Briggs, he had some nice rushes but he had plenty of oppos for them.

I mean, through three games it's safe to say our special teams have noticeably dropped off. That's stuff we rarely saw that we've seen in each game. I find it funny Decamillis came from the Cowboys, b/c it's exactly what it seems. The huge plays are there, but the boneheaded lose you the game plays are there too.

I can't do anything right this year.

Boldin sat on my bench week 1. Started S. Jackson, Wilson, Nelson, Garcon, and Lacy.

Vick and Garcon sat last week. Started Cam, S. Jackson, Wilson, Boldin, Nelson, and Lacy.

Gordon and Cam sat this week. Started Vick, Wilson, McGahee, Nelson, Garcon, and Boldin.

I mean what the f***

I'm in the same boat...0-5-1 on my NFL bets the last two weeks. Rotten.

My old roomates are doing a against the spread type pool against each other, through the first 2 weeks, one of them was 0-10, the other two were 1-9.

I was part of a group of 10 people who started a pool that was $6 week to play and you picked 6 games per week and the only way to win money was to go 6-0-0, otherwise it rolled over. It took 2½ seasons to pay out, during which time I went 5-0-1 twice and one other guy did it once. The guy who finally hit it had the worst cumulative record of the entire group.

Bears DT Henry Melton has been diagnosed with a torn left ACL, ending his season.

A key cog as the three-technique dominator in the Bears Cover-2 scheme, the Bears are going to feel the absence of Melton in a big way. He graded out as ProFootballFocus' No. 7 defensive tackle last year, racking up six sacks and going to the Pro Bowl. Nate Collins, Stephen Paea and possibly Zach Minter are all going to have to step up. It's also a severe blow to Melton's wallet. He was playing this year on a one-year, $8.45M franchise tender. Now Melton will hit unrestricted free agency having to prove his health.

This rotoworld report for Jacoby Jones is hilarious on so many levels...

Jacoby Jones suffers head injury in altercation with a stripper.

A. Stripper Party Bus

B. McKinnie is on bus and was on party boat

C. Uncooperative with police

D. Hit with oversized champagne bottle

The good news at least there was not an NFL player drinking and driving the bus....hopefully Cosmo Kramer was driving

All we need is a couple of players packing heat and a little dope on the party bus.
