So it appears that Sherman actually did want to shake Crabtree's hand after the interception: http://deadspin.com/sherman-crabtree-watch...p-hi-1507040069

Was there anyone who missed him sarcastically extending his hand out to him? We didn't need audio to tell he was trying to be a cockbag.

He sounds like it. Granted, I would have acted the same way Crabtree did.

Of course he sounds like it, he is an expert in s*** talking. It was barely 5 seconds after Crabtree's dreams were crushed, that's not the time to go show respect. The two guys obviously dislike each other and talked s*** all game, Sherman made sure he got the final jab in.

The final COUPLE jabs. Don't forget he decided to go in to a psychopathic rage during an interview after the game.

It's a smart move. You really can't prove he was being sarcastic and he can make a case he was just trying to shake Crabtree's hand.

Possibly or it was a quick, honest reaction on everyone's part. When I was watching live, I definitely thought Sherman went over there to taunt but in the video he sounds sincere, no sarcasm in his voice. Either way, I don't blame Crabtree one bit for his reaction either.

It's entirely possible that Sherman was being sincere with that handshake attempt and when Crabtree slugged him it caused Sherman to go off in the interview but that wouldn't fit the narrative.

I can't believe anyone would buy that he all the sudden would flip a switch from trying to be the biggest s*** talker in football to all the sudden being a really nice guy with a player he himself has said he does not like. Call me crazy, but there ain't a chance in hell that he wasn't trying to be a cockbag with that move. Not a chance.

Exactly. My final take from all this is that a communications major from Stanford turned out to be a marketing genius. Go figure. He knows what he's doing every step of the way.

No, it fits the narrative perfectly because he apparently already hated Crabtree, then went to rub it in. Cmon, there's no way he wasn't rubbing that in running over there. Zero doubt.

Which, I have more of a problem with than any of his comments. Ran halfway across the field to make a point and act like a clown. Go celebrate with your team.

Yup, just another way for him to try to make Crabtree out to be the bad guy. He knew he'd be questioned about such an unsportsmanlike act, so he had a perfect cover. "I was just trying to say good game man!"

Ya, no.

It is my understanding that Paul Pasquanelli will be the Bears DL coach(he was previously thought to be LB coach), and Reggie Herring will be the Bears LBs coach.

All their experience at the NFL level have been in 3-4 defenses.

This is really telling if you ask me. Almost makes me wonder why Wade Phillips wasn't brought in as DC, but then again perhaps he didn't want to start a new again or Trestman and Emery have faith in Mel Tucker and Tucker sold them on his defensive plan. Either way, I think it's pretty clear we will see some 3-4 action next year.

More clues will be given with free agency and the draft as to what the D will look like.

I guess I missed the part where he decapitates Erin Andrews...

This just gets richer and richer.

They are your opinion. You can't factually prove someone's intelligence. FWIW, his wonderlic score was 24.

Also, more definitions!

comment: : a spoken or written statement that expresses an opinion about someone or something

observations: a statement about something you have noticed : a comment or remark

THOSE STATEMENTS ARE STATEMENTS, NOT FACTUAL STATEMENTS

Right....and it's MY OPINION that he looked like an idiot....what is so hard to grasp here?

Opinion - a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

Thus, you believe that Sherman is an idiot. That's the entire point of this conversation. You think Sherman is stupid and lacks intelligence. That's why you are calling him an idiot.

I would pay money to watch you and Sherman in a room together for an hour.

It'd be aired on Comedy Central and be called "Richard Trollin' Joe"

BTW, the word thug gets thrown around way too much to describe, and let's be real now, young black athletes. When's the last time a white athlete was called a thug? I don't recall that word being used to describe Incognito even though he was recorded threatening another person and his family with violence. Was it used against Roethlisburger? Not that I can remember. Oh but ranting on TV and being a poor sport now makes you a thug even though no real crimes were committed.

I hate bringing race into this but just read twitter, FB and YouTube and Sherman is being called a thug and much more worse things including the N word. All because he sounded like a roided up WWF wrestler for half a minute, SMH.

I ain't accussing anyone of that here, just wanted to vent on the ridiculousness of this.

No, it absolutely is a race thing used by middle to upper class white members of the media to degrade minorities. Personally, and I'm sure I'm guilty of it somewhere along the lines, I try and limit my use of the word thug to actual criminals and actual bad guys in the NFL. Incognito is definitely a thug.

Richard Sherman is still just a douchebag.

I thought all leagues were NFP's? None of the leagues themselves make money, the teams do.

Yeah, the teams themselves aren't NFP, but the league is. Gotta question why, though, because the NFL certainly seems to make itself a ton of money, at least enough to pay Goddell close to $30M.
