Chisoxfn
QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:45 PM) The bigger mistake was the drops by Earl, though. Cost the bears the shot at the comeback. Cutler played really well, although no excusing the offenses lack of production most of the 1st half. Still, Jay was mature and played well and I think this offense will be good. Defense is average at best although it was actually better today (the disaster play was the 4th down missed tackles and that screen pass at the end of the 1st half). Tip your cap though cause they also gave up those points on the Cutler fumble.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 01:11 PM) They do play the Giants on Thursday at home. So I think 4-2 is pretty realistic after next week. In the NFL, don't count a win until you actually f***ing win.

witesoxfan
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 10:22 AM) Unless Jacksonville is coming to town I think they'll win a game or two this year. Gabbert is one of the worst QBs to ever play in the NFL, and while Henne can act as an OK backup, he is a terrible starter too. I think they have enough talent out wide and in the backfield that the should be able to squeak one out - probably against Buffalo or Arizona - if Henne gets hot. I also think they need to look towards other QBs too just to give them a shot.

We saw the Chiefs go 2-14 last year with a very talented roster simply because their QB play was terrible. Change the coach and the QB and suddenly they're 5-0. We saw the Chiefs go 2-14 last year with a very talented roster simply because their QB play was terrible. Change the coach and the QB and suddenly they're 5-0. They'll get that fixed. Schaub will either get his head on straight or they'll go with Yates, who will be serviceable. The Texans still have one of the more talented rosters in the League. They are playing outstanding defense, have a solid running game and a good passing game. The turnovers will start to even out and they will be winning games again. To say they are overrated is just incorrect. Do they stink right now? Sure. But they are certainly not overrated.

That's about where I'd expect them to have been "rated" coming in to the year, and they aren't playing like that. I'd say the same thing about the NFC's number one seed the last year, the Falcons. bmags
I think the media's making too much out of Marshall's comments. You can tell from interviews that dude is sick of missing the playoffs. I don't think if I was his teammate I'd be annoyed at all. Marshall still plays his ass off every play. Also, side note, Jeffery may be the best blocking receiver bears have had. Well I don't really care to argue about semantics, or where certain people may have them "rated" or whatever. No one is talking about them being outstanding or anything right now. When I think of the word "overrated," I think of teams that people are talking about being very good, that simply aren't. The Dolphins were "overrated" coming into their matchup with the Saints. The Patriots are "overrated" right now. But whatever...we'll see how it all pans out.

thxfrthmmrs
So our pass defense is quickly becoming one of the worst in the league. We are 30th in the league currently in opponent pass completion % at 70% (only Oakland and San Diego) has done worst. We are also 6th in the league in highest yard per attempt at 8.3. When the secondary is not generating any turnovers and the DL is not pressure the quarterback, our defense is a disaster waiting to happen.
