Soxbadger
Win is a win, but the Bears need to start capitalizing and getting larger leads earlier. Will take some pressure of the make shift defensive line if they dont have to worry about the run as much.

thxfrthmmrs
Missed the game. Did Peppers played? The box score doesn't suggest he played the last two games. Then again, he's virtually worthless this season. The Bears may end up making the playoffs because of the number of s***ty teams they still get to play. But if they want to win against playoff teams they got go out and buy low on a couple of proven defensive linemen, trade McClellin for a legit 4-3 linemen, or sign some free agents. The horrible play from the line is exposing too many holes in our soft cover 2 D. This shouldn't have been a 6 point game.

The lack of depth at DT is embarrassing. Sign someone for crying out loud. Just wait until they play a real offensive line. That will be the team's downfall because it weakens the rest of the defense so much more. But a win is a win.
chw42
Cutler's on pace for 32 TDs and 4300 yards. If he keeps the turnovers low, he's gonna get paid this off-season regardless of what happens with the Bears. SoxFan1
IMO, complaining about not kicking the FG in the first is a little ridiculous. You're facing an 0-5 team. You have the ball at the 2 and it's your first drive of the game. With the confidence Trestman has in the offense, why not go for it? If you score, it's instant demoralization for the Giants. If you don't score, you still have the Giants pinned deep in their own zone. Even if you screw it up to the point that you turn the ball over, the absolute worst case scenario is some horrible turnover that goes 98+ yards the other way, and the chances of that are very slim. I was totally on board with going for it.

The Bears ran like 20 million draws in the redzone yesterday and I don't think one of them went for more than a yard.
Kyyle23
It all starts up front for the Bears defense. If nobody is rushing the passer, that secondary gets really exposed, they cant be expected to hold their positions for as long as they are being left out there. The Bears need Paea to get healthy and a 3 technique. Has Zach Minter gotten any PT?

That is crazy for a team that pretty much won two super bowls on the strength of their D-line. Jason Pierre-Paul must still be dealing with his back, because he looks pretty average for dude that looked unstoppable two years ago.
Dick Allen
Peppers is either playing really hurt, doesn't feel like playing anymore, or just got old really fast. He isn't even getting doubled and his game stats aren't too much different from mine.
bmags
PArt of it is Bears actually rotated out Peppers to keep him fresh. We don't have that luxury this year. Not signing Izzy was a huge mistake. I'm afraid we may have to use a draft pick to get a DT in a trade b/c I don't want to waste this year. One silver lining : Bears have 1 game in next 24 days. Time to get healthy, time for offense to get real comfortable, and time to find a Dtackle worth a damn.

Boogua
QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) We don't know that. Maybe in some parallel universe, we get the FG and the pick 6. With Eli at QB this is likely. It's not like the Bears got the pick 6 because the Giants were backed up in their endzone either. They got like 30 yards before that pick
