Weeden blows, but the Browns are tough otherwise. The Bills also haven't had a game this year where they didn't have a chance to win late. Those are two very, very tough games coming up for them still.

It's crazy to think that the Chiefs are still undefeated, because I don'tt hink I've ever seen the NFL with so much parody. With the exception of the Jags, it really does feel like anyone can beat anyone right now on any given day.

The NFL is frequently featured on SNL

supposed to be released this afternoon. Emery has a press conference scheduled for around 1:30, Trestman at 12:30

They've suggested that word on the MRI will come sometime after those press conferences

Reggie Wayne confirmed torn ACL

What's up with all these serious injuries on pedestrian looking plays?

Cutler's sack looked totally normal and Wayne looks like he was just diving for the ball.

Melton and Collins both blew their knees out without any undercutting or anything either. Just a freak year

I know I've said it before, but it remains so freaking true. If ever you root for a team that's main concern is depth, that team will ALWAYS get ravaged by injuries in the thinnest positions.

I don't know what to even think anymore. We thought this was our last year b/c of the defense, but clearly last year was our last year with a competent D. We have an offense. Hooray. Now we need a new D. Pretty much need new blood at every position. Incredible.

Well, we get to see all of our rookie linebackers. Really sucks no briggs. Our young guys are going to get forced into the spotlight. Briggsy has consistently been one of my all time favorite Bears (along with Peanut).

Me too. Guy doesn't get his due around here.

Wayne's leg got caught underneath him cause of the bad pass. Andrew Luck basically tore Wayne's acl.

I guess the one nice thing is we were so urgent to win this year thinking it was the last year for the defense. But the defense is already terrible so it's less awful to lose the year. Interesting things will come up re: Cutler. We need so much help on D, do you commit to Cutler? You have a QB coach now, can they turn someone else into a star?

Well if Cutler is out, you can committ to him for less money and then invest some picks and time into the defense. We have a nice window coming up with this offense so I don't see a problem sticking with Jay and investing in the defense.

Yeah, I don't know how much money you're really going to save, but you might be able to save a few bucks if you show good faith and make an offer while he is injured. He's got such a nice rapport with other key members of this offense now, I think you sign him and know that McCown is a competent backup (man, was he great yesterday!).

Agreed. I look at Jay's numbers this year and they were pretty impressive and I thought he was getting better each week. He's still young enough that he has plenty of time left and I think starting over does a disservice to the current weapons we have on offense. I think they need to look for a slot receiver and a center (plus start thinking about a forte replacement) and focus on the dline (and also secondary while perhaps considering a move of Tillman to safety).
