Balta1701
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 01:01 AM) The bears need to see what he can do in this system as this is finally a real NFL offense. The only answer i've gotten from him so far this year is "Get hurt at the same rate".
Jenksismyhero
That was one of the most enjoyable Bears games I can recall watching over the last several years. LONG, extended play drives. Getting first downs out of third and longs. Running the ball down their throats when it mattered most. Everyone on offense gets an A. That line was/has been amazing. Jake
I've been critical of the pass blocking, as have the analytics services, but they definitely came to play last night. It's great to see a scheme and quarterback that can account for the breakdowns and blitzes as well.
Kyyle23
good god the meatheads calling the Score today. "I just want to say, well the Bears wouldnt have won if Rodgers was playing. But I am a Bears fan" "They didnt have their QB..." "Lets not get excited about this" STFU, the Bears are just as injured if not more injured than the Packers at the same positions, as well as DL

It's great to see a scheme and quarterback that can account for the breakdowns and blitzes as well. I've decided that Jay is permanently broken. He will never trust an offensive line again. Last night we saw that our offensive line is one of the best in the league, because the QB actually moved with the pocket and didn't collapse the moment pressure was coming towards him. Yeah, stepping IN to the pocket was huge and allowed guys to get open. I feel like Jay either just sits there or backpedals. He rarely step into his throw like McCown was doing. "I just want to say, well the Bears wouldnt have won if Rodgers was playing. But I am a Bears fan" "They didnt have their QB..." "Lets not get excited about this" STFU, the Bears are just as injured if not more injured than the Packers at the same positions, as well as DL The Bears couldn't stop the run with 8 guys in the box. If Rodgers was behind center, they wouldn't have had 8 guys in the box. So, their running game would have been BETTER and you're giving the ball to the best or 2nd best QB in the league. Bears were rightly a 10 point underdog.

Im not saying that at all, I just think the "Well their starting QB is injured" excuse is lame when the Bears had the exact same issue, plus more. The fact is, both teams were throwing out their B team, and the Bears came out on top. It doesnt make the victory tainted or get an asterisk. It was still a fun game to watch. The Bears are missing a pro bowl Defensive Lineman in Melton, a pretty good backup in Collins, 2 probowl linebackers and a pro bowl QB. It isnt like they were better off

Probably not, because GB would have scored 35 points minimum. But who cares? If the Bears beat Detroit Sunday, they will have a major edge in the divisional race, as the Pack have to play a few games without #12. This isn't the NCAA tournament, they won't take injuries into account come playoff time. The best records make it, the Bears are tied for first, enjoy a victory at Lambeau, it has been a while. I completely agree that Rodgers would most likely have won this game for the Packers, im not disagreeing at all. All players being healthy, I really dont know how it would have shaken out, to be honest with you. But they have to keep playing.
