Stafford yes, I'm not sure who overrated Romo though, that guy gets killed more than anyone.

The only reason he gets killed so much is because people expect a lot out of him. He's paid like he's a franchise QB, but he never plays well when the Cowboys' season is on the line.

The Cowboys themselves are overrated as hell.

Matthew Stafford and Tony Romo are overrated as hell and love screwing up in December.

Lol, no. Tony Romo is somehow consider a scum of the Earth quarterback who sucks, especially at the end of games, despite owning the best 4th Quarter QBR of any QB in NFL History, and being one of the best QBs statistically in close games of 7 pts or less.

But hey, everyone keeps pushing an inaccurate narrative because it's more important to hate the Cowboys and whomever their QB is than actually be right about anything.

Is it too much to ask for a Bears win and Packers/Lions loss this weekend coming up? :headbang

With our luck, it's much more likely that we see a Bears loss and both Lions / Packers win next weekend. Then its back to having to beat Green Bay and hoping the Vikings can beat the Lions the next weekend.

I think he has like 19 or 20 career 4th quarter comebacks.

The problem is that the media treats the Cowboys like they are still some powerhouse franchise, when they are mediocre as they come. In the last 17 seasons, they are 135-135 in the regular season with one playoff win.

Dallas is 4th in the league in points scored per game and 26th in points given up per game. They're 32nd in the NFL in Yards given up, so their defense is actually even doing a decent job of preventing scores but teams just move the ball like crazy against them. The Cowboys scoring offense is really quite effective even though it looks from the stats like they never, ever, ever have the ball.

Romo can score like crazy and sometimes move the ball at will, but I would really like to see the 4th quarter comeback stat conversed with how many times he has thrown a late pick or lost a fumble that basically ended the game. Because that is exactly why this "media narrative" started

I saw an amazing number yesterday. Since the beginning of the 2011 season, Tom Brady has a 26.8% completion rate in the end zone to receivers not named Gronk.

That's not shocking to me at least this year it's not.

A lot has been made of Brady's numbers being down because of his lack of weapons and while that is certainly true, the guy made some absolutely horrendous throws the first 10 weeks of this season. Sure it hurts not having your guys but he was just bad as well.

Its kind of amazing, he did have Welker, Lloyd and Hernandez in '11 and '12. The Patriots really havent given Brady the same punch they had when Welker and Moss were running wild.

I wonder what that number is, this year alone

I love how Cowboy fans feel about Romo in relation to everyone else.

Would that include botched PAT holds too???

Part of the "media narrative" is because they treat the Cowboys like the Yankees and expect them to win it all every year. When it doesn't happen, they look for someone to blame and the QB is #1, never mind a defense that gives up 34 points in a half to Matt Flynn or couldn't stop Josh McCown once. Romo has some flaws, but I think he gets more blame than he should. It's just not an overall well run organization.

Jay Cutler, your table is ready, time to make your hay young fella.

If the Bears beat the crap teams they should have under McCown the division would be sealed and Jay would be in the playoffs. Alas, this did not happen but thanks to the Lions, the division is there. They have to beat two good teams and then we will all see what the Bears are. This is great thing for this season. We know the offense can compete with anyone. Now we shift focus to the defense who hopefully gets Lance Briggs back. Tillman for the playoffs would have made things interesting if Ratliff continues to improve.

The NFC North is bad because of injuries and the Lions. The Lions should have iced this thing a couple of weeks back.

If the Giants beat the Lions and the Packers beat the Steelers, Sunday night's game is meaningless.

@Zigmanfreud: Lions/Ravens game was perfect example of how the NFL needs to change field goal rules to make it tougher to make them. Lions deserved to win

Lol!

lolwut?

The other team hits a 61 yard field goal with almost a minute left, the Lions had all their timeouts, and their franchise QB throws a pick to end it, but they deserve to win?

What kind of entitled bulls*** is that?

I'm sick of hearing about QB 4th quarter stats. 4th quarter come backs and stuff like that. Has to be one of the most overrated stats.

If you are good in the first 3 quarters, you don't have to lead comebacks.

See above re: their defense.

The game against the Broncos was a perfect Romo game - be absolutely stellar for 3.5 quarters and then make a mistake that "costs" your team the game. Everyone forgets the awesome game, everyone remembers the costly interception.

Keeping Romo long term was one of the smartest moves Jerry Jones has made in a long time. Without him they win 3-4 games a year at most.

find that guys twitter feed and read through his back and forth responses. It is hilarious, he says something like "when the field goal was designed for the game, they didnt have 60 yard dome field goals in mind. 30 yard field goals are earned"

lmao
