Apparently there are still tickets available for that game, as well as the Indy and Cincinnati games. Blackout rules still apply.

I tried getting Seahawk tickets the other day and they sold out in a minute. Not sure why I keep seeing that they sold out in 30 minutes. There were none available on ticketmaster by 10:01.

Any reports on how much Jennings/Slausson got? It seems odd that so little info is out on the size/amount of the contracts.

I have only seen 4 year deals no talk of money anywhere.

Youre the one who came in here to "make fun of Bears fans"

So you're argument is Romo isn't better than Cutler because neither of them are good in the playoffs? Or because they have similar contracts? I don't understand your role in this conversation at all.

And I said my Bear's fan friends who made laughed at me for the Romo signing, not Bears fans on this site.

I think the only reason Cutlers totals got out is because of BMarshall.

Marshall's probably known for a while now. I remember reading he told reporters "Jay will be back" after the Packers game.

Cutler has been grinning like the Cheshire Cat for the past two weeks whenever it has been brought up. He kept repeating "Phil has a plan"

No, Im pointing out the hilarity of you making fun of Bears fans for the Cutler contract when he has a very similar resume and contract to Romo. The fact that you were trying to make this point to your "friends" who dont even post on this site makes it even more ridiculous.

Oh, so the only way to judge players in based on their playoff successes, apparently. Romo and Cutler only have 1 playoff win each. So they both are clearly awful quarterbacks. Joe Flacco, on the other hand, he has a ring, so he's obviously much better.

Got it. This conversation was over before it even started.

Wow you like to move goalposts.

If I was picking one of those three for a fantasy team, I'd pick Romo. If I was picking one to give me a ring, I'd pick Flacco.

I'm taking Romo and Cutler over Flacco. Cutler/Romo are pretty even for me.

Flacco is easily the worst QB of that trio, regardless of circumstance.

I've tried to defend Romo with all of the 4th quarter stats and this and that, but the dude just excels at f***ing up in a big way when it matters most. It is unquantifiable. At least Cutler spares us by dicking things up early.

Marshall also said Bears will play Lions in the playoffs. Marshall knows as much as me or you, they were gonna bring him back because there is nobody else out there.

Mike Golic giving Packer fans s*** this morning for this game not selling out in 5 minutes. I know the people of Green Bay live in the cold and games are normally cold, but this is different. It's going to be a high of -5 on Sunday, they are predicting this could be one of the coldest games ever. They are talking -30 with wind chill. That is actually dangerous to be out in.

I think the 2007 NFC championship game they played in was -7. This should well pass that.

This Cutler deal now gives me the chance to laugh at all my Bear fans friends who laughed at me when Romo got paid. Romo's deal nearly looks like a bargain compared to Cutty's deal.

How are the contracts structured? Can the Cowboys easily get out of Romo's deal after 3 years like the Bears can Cutler?

Honestly asking here, but I have my doubts.

So...if this article is accurate on the numbers...front loading Cutler's deal doesn't leave them on the hook long term if he struggles or gets more banged up...but that makes it a major, major cap hit this year for a team that has huge needs on defense and possibly a ton of dead cap space.

In 2014, Cutler will earn a base salary of $22.5 million. In 2015, the base salary is $15.5 million. In 2016, it increases to $16 million.

If the Bears don't nail their first couple draft picks and get more out of people they already drafted on defense, they're set up to be as bad or worse there this season.

Jennings got $5 million per year, $12 mil guaranteed

edit: Officially $22.4 million, $11.815 mil guaranteed

I just don't understand NFL cap rules.

Me neither, every time I would think it was unmanageable for Jerry Angelo, he would go out and sign Julius Peppers and I would be like "But i thought they had no money?"

Im not even gonna worry about Cutlers deal right now, Emery specifically said it was team and player friendly. The guy has something in mind....I have no idea what it is, but there is something.

LOL, what a meathead. I think the fans have it way worse than the players do. The players go in the locker room before the game and at halftime. They have heaters on the sidelines, and probably some of the best thermal gear money can buy. It might hurt way more to get hit when it's that cold, but that's still better than just sitting in one place for 3-4 hours.

Nevermind that fans are probably drunk and losing body heat throughout the course of the day.

You can see the game so much better on TV, anyway. Going to a football game is just about the social experience, and it won't be very enjoyable if it's -35 with the windchill

Except if it is blacked out, lol

You can bet the teams or the NFL itself will buy up those remaining tickets just to say they got sold. Heck, they already extended a set deadline on ticket sales. Clearly the rule means nothing. There's not a chance the games will be blacked out.
