Barry was funny because in those last two years he basically was like "F U. I dont care that you know im roiding. Watch me hit another pitch into the ocean"

Arod has done nothing but repeatedly get caught lying, and on top of that his performance has fallen through the floor.

I don't even care that he did steroids, I loved watching him hit. The old saying is there are guys you don't leave the room when they are up to bat (sic) but with Bonds, I literally would take time out of my day to make sure I watched him hit because his at bats were just that entertaining. I've never, ever, ever seen so much fear in any pitcher, and I've never seen a prettier, quicker, more fluid, powerful swing.

ARod, on the other hand, is a douche who now sucks at baseball.

Greinke has been a head hunter for years, especially against the Sox. I wasnt surprised he stood there and tried to take a hit. He thinks he's more badass than he really is.

And Konerko did an entire interview today backing up Quentin in the situation. I wonder if that will change the minds of the people who think Greinke is a saint here.

Honestly, do you really feel that a former teammate and also a fellow hitter is going to defend a pitcher (who happened to be on a rival team for a number of years)? C'mon.

It's like when Iowa would lose to MSU every time and Izzo would say what a great coach Todd Lickliter was....he's going to defend another B10 coach, he's not going to rip into him. Heck, you might even argue that he wants aforementioned sucky coach to stay in place as long as possible so your team can keep beating on him, lol.

Really...Konerko defending Quentin isn't news, any more than Mattingly, a fellow hitter, ripping on Quentin and favoring his own player.

Who do you think has more intimate knowledge of the relationship between Greinke and Quentin - Mattingly or Konerko?

It's obviously Konerko, and I will favor him 100% of the time. If you ask Billy Butler or Alex Gordon, I imagine they'd side with Greinke, but you never know. Those would be the types of guys to ask.

Well agree to disagree, because I think if someone continues to hit you and then have the audacity to talk s*** to you about it, you get what comes to you. It's a shame AJ never got the chance to charge Padilla.

You mean the same AJ who only ran his mouth and egged on the crowd after Barrett made him his b****? AJ has always been a trash talking puss who was afraid to fight his own battles.

AJ got sucker punched. What?

And what did he do? He got punched and walked away and stood on the outside as his teammates fought it out. Even Podsednik showed more balls that AJ.

Why dont you read what he said first. It's pretty clear there is more to it than that.

The self righteousness on this board is unreal. If you think it was ok for Quentin to charge the mound or simply don't think the act was a big deal, then you're automically assigned meatball status. People need to get off their high horses around here. This is clearly not a black and white issue, so please stop acting like it's one.

Okay. I'm not sure how that makes him "Barret's b****".

Its pretty easy when you look at the events that took place.

When you instigate a confrontation and run away when challenged, you just became the others b****.

Quentin would not say what Greinke said other than it was "an expletive."

Quentin says he had never before charged the mound and wouldn't have if Greinke would not have said anything.

Uh, no. The only b**** move is sucker punching someone. There is never an excuse for that.

Grienke got what he had coming to him. I call BS on his claim that it wasn't intentional. You don't miss that badly on a 3 ball count. I hope Kershaw drills Quentin in retaliation and then gets suspended for 10 games while Grienke is on the DL.

Over 60,000 HBPs in MLB history, Quentin's was only 42nd on 3-2 pitch w/bases empty, no out, trailing by run http://bbref.com/pi/shareit/zO2QxQuentin's … #mlb

What a painfully specific stat to try and move how rare something is. When you pinpoint something that closely, you are bound to find a small number. How stupid.

Konerko backed up the batter who is an ex-teammate of his? No way! :o
