Yeah, I have no problem hitting the opposing pitcher. That's the one benefit of the NL, that pitchers might have to deal with the consequences of their hit batsmen.

Which, by my count, is the ONLY benefit from the pitcher hitting.

Indeed. I'd be happy to part with that benefit to get the DH in the NL

Especially when you can just charge the mound and break collarbones if you think they throw at you intentionally.

Anyone notice how unexceptional Billy Hamilton is playing in AAA this year? .655 OPS, 40 SB. Has to be better than that especially after they moved him off of SS

He's also 22 and started last year in High-A. Not surprising though that a guy whose game is predicated on speed becomes less effective when he starts playing better players. I'm sure he'll be a major leaguer at some point but he'll probably be an overrated one.

Dodgers/DBacks suspensions:

Ian Kennedy - 10 games

Eric Hinkse - 5 games

J.P. Howell - 2 games

Skip Schumaker - 2 games

Don mattingly - 1 game

Kirk Gibson - 1 game

Mark McGwire - 2 games

Ronald Belisario - 1 game

+ numerous fines that mean nothing to rich players

That is the biggest crock of f***ing s*** I have ever seen. Why and how can you not suspend Greinke in that mess? HE HIT 2 GUYS - 2 - and all he gets is a fine?

f*** Zach Greinke

And with the whole team's very public attitude of 'you hit one of ours, we hit one of yours', too.

I have an insatiable urge to punch him in the face right now for so many reasons

He's a little b****.

I traded that little b**** along with Matt Carpenter and Kris Medlen for Justin f***ing Verlander two days ago. Hilarious.

Skip Schumaker said LaRussa's philosophy (and the Dodgers' now) always was "we don't start things, but we end them."

I've never had an opinion on Mattingly but since the two brawls I can't stand the guy. Comes across as a Grade-A prick.

Wieter's 2 run shot to come to within 1 of Red Sox 5-4 with 1 out in the 9th.

And a base hit in the next AB. Fun game to watch- we don't seem to have much of these in the Chicagoland area this year.

Oh wow. Casilla, who pinch-ran, got doubled off to end the game on a fly out. He was all the way at 3B, so he likely thought there were 2 out. Brutal. Buck isn't going to be happy in the locker room.

My fantasy team no one cares about has been holding him all season.

haha, same here. we finally can play him after holding out all this time.
