Prediction: by the time this year is over, Javier Baez will be the top hitting prospect in baseball.

Theo Epstein propsects seem to get the same rankings boost that Notre Dame football recruits do.

Now Ald. Tunney says, Go ahead and install a Jumbotron, just tear down that old scoreboard in centerfield. The rooftop owners have to be putting his kids' grandkids' grandkids through college.

I wonder why they think Cubs fans would revolt if they tore down that scoreboard. I bet a good percentage of people in the stands have no idea what it even is.

It's been quite a few years since I've been to Wrigley but the last time I went it was for a Cubs/Astros game. I wasn't real familiar with the players on either of the teams and I didn't have a scorecard or a program to look up their numbers.

The fact that the scoreboard only showed numbers rather than names made it 10 times more difficult to keep up with the game. Especially when a substitution was made. It finally made me realize why so many Cubs fans had no idea who was on the team/field at any point in time during the game.

I'm not sure if they've added any more LED boards anywhere in the park to display that kind of info but for the casual fans that scoreboard is pretty useless for anything besides updating the score(s).

The Braves have a horrible lineup today, but Samardzija's stuff is insane today. 9 strike outs of the first 10 outs

ya just saw someone tweet: Kerry Wood “only” had 8K through four innings on May 6, 1998. Samardzija has 10K through four today.
