Jesus are the Twins terrible. Even with Mauer and Morneau that offense is such a collection of "WHO?"

you dont have Pedro Florimon fever?

the top 5 in the batting order should be fine. Im not sold on Plouffe or Dozier and Florimon swings a wet noodle.

Thing is, they always had those kind of line-ups, but they just murdered the Sox. Not the case the last few years... I say it's a result of the move outdoors. The mystic of the Dome is gone.

No, they've had players with good contact skills who could work a count to get their pitch. Florimon and Dozier are hot garbage. Hicks is a good prospect and Parmelee has been streaky but effective at the MLB level.

There's absolutely talent in the lineup, just not up the middle.

Alex Avila is a good player but I think that guys knees are going to end his career prematurely. He has already had problems in his relatively short career

Just needs to get robot knees

haha Tigers

I love when parts of the game that are supposed to be not that hard to be good at in the MLB really cost the Tigers (defense, bullpen)

They built their club around a two fat guys who can hit. What do you expect?

Well they had the same formula and rode it to the World Series last year.

I made fun of their defense so much last year and claimed it would be their downfall in the division. Not so much.

Having Price, Miggy, and Verlander healthy and doing what they do overcomes A LOT.

This is where you have to be careful what you're rooting for.

Sox may be in competition for a wildcard with the Blue Jays at the end of the season.

That's why I'm just rooting for the Sox to get the 89th win, and see where we are.

Not in game TWO

Now it's just fun to see your division rival fall apart...

I guess. I'm not big on the word "rival" when it comes to baseball. Too many games against each other. Win some/lose some.

It was nice to see the Tigers blow it though. I will say that.

If we beat our division rivals, we don't have to worry about the wild card.

It is pretty strange that you are saying to root for a division rival to beat a team from another division in order to preserve a possible wild card berth, in the second game of the season, and using this as your possible scenario.

What I'm saying is, yes, we could root for a specific team right now, and yeah great, a team that we're forced to play 19 times lost.

However, come September 28, we possibly should have hoped that the team from our division won that close game back in April.

Kinda what I'm saying is it's dumb to scoreboard watch with too much energy and hope this early in the season, unless you know a team from your division is really good. So Tigers losing to the Twins--good. Indians beating the Blue Jays? Might be a good thing in the long run.

Buehrle getting rocked by the Indians... don't miss that.

Also he looked more "round" than usual. Maybe hit the Tim Horton's too much already...

I noticed that during spring training. When you're carrying extra weight in baseball, you better be good.

Buehrle looks like if he just gave up, he could be 300 pounds within a year.
