I don't think there's a competition. That Astros team is one of the worst I've seen in a long time.

That Astros team is one of the worst I've seen in a long time. The Astros have 9 walks and 74 strikeouts in 6 games. (link).
Benchwarmerjim
perhaps because Im an optomist, but I think the Twins can get into that 75-80 win range. Or maybe a better way to put it is that they will get more wins this year, but not compete for a title

At least they have some run production talent in Mauer, Morneau, Willingham. Plus the legend of Eduardo Escobar, walk off specialist

Not really, the al central is usually the weakest conference in the AL and think that is the case this season too. The twins aren't a good team but they will def. be better than Astros
witesoxfan
I could see 75-80, especially as some of their pitching talent makes its way to the majors. I see them right around 70-72 wins on the year.
cabiness42
The thing is, the rest of the AL Central is WAY better. Comparing teams 1-5 Cincinnati and Detroit are pretty even St Louis is better than the Sox Pittsburgh and Kansas City are pretty even Cleveland is much better than the Cubs Minnesota is better than the Astros So overall the divisions are fairly comparable. I don't think strength of schedule will be the reason the Twins win more games than Houston.

Not really, it's better than them keeping the glasses on the top button of their shirt or something. It's functional for them to keep the glasses there, if the sun comes out while theyre in the field and they need the glasses, where else would they keep them? You just said that flip sunglasses look uncool, so what exactly are the players supposed to do then? If they have two options: 1) Look decent with sunglasses resting on the brim or 2) wear s***ty flip sunglasses; which one do you think they'll choose? They do for some reason. I guess my beef is when a player loses the ball in the sun and their sunglasses are on top their hat. And I've seen it more than a few times.
