Escobar hit a HR.

to the power alley.

opposite field.

where did that come from? a stiff 20 mph wind to LF blowing in KC

The second coming of Andy Gonzalez.

Well, from having lived in KC for nearly a decade, the ball can really fly out of there if it's warm enough and the winds don't knock it down...especially down the lines.

Eduardo? (Seriously, this is MLB, you can't just use "Escobar".)

If the Tigers and Blue Jays can't play the next couple days, they're both going to have some serious scheduling issues. Which is nice.

Have the games in Toronto and switch the later ones to Detroit.

I'm sure Toronto will eventually play better, but they stink right now. Hope they stay that way for another week.

Agreed.

Buehrle will probably end up being the same guy, but if he has an awful year, I wouldn't put it past him to leave a ton of money on the table, and just go home.

Buehrle will probably dominate the Sox though. Soft tossing lefty with a good change up? Forget about it. Gonna need Flowers and Viciedo to hit a few homers a piece.

2012 Sox vs LHP - .755 OPS (compared to .735 vs RHP)

2012 Sox vs finesse pitchers - .793 OPS (versus .703 vs power & .693 vs avg P/F)

They would hit Buehrle just fine.

I'd be shocked if he did that, especially considering how backloaded his contract is. His 2014 & 2015 salaries are $18 million & $19 million.

How would you like to have a $130 million payroll with no closer?

We can trade them Thornton.

The funny thing is Phil Coke was terrible for most of the last couple of years, and ended up being their best reliever down the stretch.

We'll see what the big chunks of that payroll do to overcome it. They've kept them afloat so far.

I hope it kills them all season, but watch, they'll probably just call up Rondon and he'll save 50 in a row.
