Hanging with my Peeps — Music Version

OK, Here’s a music trivia idea that popped into my head a few days ago driving in the car and listening to the radio. I have been rolling them out 10 at a time on FB, but you lucky SoxTalkers get to see 60 questions at one go (eta the list now includes a full 100 songs. Might throw some bonus songs in there if I come up with a few more good ones).

Try to identify the specific songs that reference each of these sets of people by name. Some are very easy, some are pretty hard, and most of them are firmly in dinosaur rock territory because that’s what I know. Feel free to add your own songs to the list and let’s see how well you all do. Good Luck!

I edited the OP with strikethroughs to indicate which songs have been correctly identified. Still keeping the spoiler tags intact so latecomers can give it a go.

Speaking of latecomers, I think Tex and Big Ed could make short work of some of these if they jumped in.

35 songs correctly identified, 25 left unanswered. Not bad.

SS, the last Beatles song has been identified but I see there is there's still a Wings song in the mix.

Good Job on #6. Incorrect on #53. And #14 is basically made for you, give it another look.

LOL! I was thinking The Miller and the Waiter was familiar. Christ, it's one of my favorite songs ever. I guess I just needed a clue:

Whiter Shade of Pale

You would have disappointed me if you didn't get that one.

I think #53 is definitely a song you would know. I'll provide subtle hints if asked.

They're all songs I know. That's the sad part. I suck at this. Anybody get #16 yet, cause that's a Beatles song.

On further review, it turns out there is still a Beatles song in play, as well as the Wings song. Get 'em before they're gone.
