I mean, isn't the point of vacating wins to pretend like they never happened because the team cheated to get there? Is that just crappy journalism or does it not matter? I'm not ptatc, but as I understand it, with a bone, everything that was there before is still there, so they set it and it will essentially start healing itself as soon as it calms down and realizes WTF is going on. They use the screws to ensure that it heals together properly. With a blown knee, they literally have to take a ligament from your elbow, wait for it to actually set in the bone, and then the muscles surrounding it have to get stronger as well. There's like nothing you can really even do for 4-6 months on it because it will just snap off and you're left with a floppy knee. Eric Wood (Bills center) had a compound fracture in his tibia in like week 14 of the 2011 season, and he was ready to kick ass in training camp in July of 2012.
