A lot of big names got lit up their 2nd start this year.

Oh, there's no denying that, but it seems Ventura dropped the ball big time in that game and tonight is an absolute debacle of a managerial performance.

I still can't believe there wasn't bigger outrage over the fact that he was given the fifth starter job. Unacceptable

Not enough fans to even care at this point :) I think the Sox fooled everyone into thinking Danks would be ready by the start of the season.

Needed innings from Dylan, not mad at Robin. Taking out your starter in the fourth inning is tough business. Shame on Dylan for throwing over the middle of the plate so much. Hope this is the last we see of him this year.

You don't waste your long man for one inning last night with a minor league pitcher on the mound the next day against a great team.

Starting with the decision to have Dylan Axelrod on the major league roster. And then batting Paulie 5th where he hasn't hit regularly since 2002...

Not with a 12 man staff. No one is overworked (yet).

There are few circumstances where I pull my starter in the fourth inning before he's given up a run in that inning.

EDIT: The mistake here is having him starting in the first place, and I have a feeling Robin has less say in that than we think. The GM will have a huge say in that, as well as the pitching coach. Hard to say whose vision it was for Axe to be in the rotation.

We need innings but not at the expense of losing the game. We have a free roster spot and can have a multi-inning reliever as soon as tomorrow.

Also, we're talking about one additional out at the most, since there was no way in hell Axelrod was coming out for the 5th. Made sense to get Santiago in there against Harper & LeRoche the next inning.

How about facing a lineup for the 3rd time when you have bad stuff to begin with and have thrown nearly 100 pitches? You have three lefty relievers in your bullpen, but you fail to play the match-up there. Sounds like a losing strategy to me.
