f*** it. Lose 100 games. If you're gonna suck go for it at least! I don't want this team finally coming around in August to finish at .500

At what point do you shut down Sale to save his arm??

Kidding, I swear

Sox need him to pitch someone decent so they can trade him if they fall out of contention.

Hahn should start selling him as a "Change of Scenery" candidate right now. Maybe they can trade him in a few weeks or days, or now.

Obviously the sample size would be minuscule, but I wonder what the Sox ERA is in these games that Cooper hasn't been on the bench and the games to start the season.

Just look at the home/road splits.

2.41 vs 5.44

Although that road one probably isn't updated so I'm sure it's closer to 6 now.

Can the Sox DL Floyd for "tightness" or some other mystery ailment?

Brain cramps.

I hope he starts pitching well. So we can sell "high" on him, not sure what would be, but someone might overpay.

...aaaaand 2 minutes into the postgame show, Rongey is fiercely defending Floyd.

I think Gavin is Rongey's cousin.

What In God's earth could that tool possibly be defending? Who is he blaming now?

I honestly would rather have Old Irascible/Horrible PR Cooper as manager...at least that way we'd only have to fix ONE area of our ballclub, the offense.

Then again, you can easily imagine him getting too consumed with managing every aspect of the team and the pitching staff becoming an issue without him to guide it on an everyday basis.

There HAS to be SOME connection between the 4-2 start at home and the 1-6 road trip without him.

Maybe he's holding out for a raise and trying to prove his worth, lol...

Probably Mark Buehrle for not taking a 2X hometown discount and remaining with the Sox, lol.

Minnesota threatening to put us in last place...they have the Angels down 5-2 at home in the late innings.

The problem is that Floyd does have good stuff, but he's gonna be one of these that never figures it out. He falls in love with pitches like his slider/cutter and insists on repeating them when teams have crushed them. He sould learn to change speeds with his curveball which is a above average pitch. If I'm not mistaken the year he won 17 games he used his curveball a lot more

Floyd EASILY could have given up 5-8 runs...

He had runners at 2nd/3rd and one out, and got out of it...and then Santiago bailed him out of a bases loaded, one out situation.

Can we please put Santiago in the starting rotation?

Axelrod is going to get his ass kicked tomorrow.

If Axelrod gets roughed up, I think Santiago starts Sunday. Maybe Sunday regardless. They should have gone 6-man during this 20-day stretch.
