caulfield12
I've never seen one baseball season carry over into the next one like this one has...
southsideirish71
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 22, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) Justin Masterson is the team's ace. They got 2 runs off of him. I know that's not a lot considering the guy's ERA was 1.67. Axe gave a solid outing. The bullpen has to lock that s*** down and they didn't. Tekotte is a f***ing idiot and single handlely killed a rally. Outside the bad defense. The sox did OK tonight. The lineup has to be shaken up. I rather have the auto outs down in the 9 spot. Bat Dunn 9th for the love of god. They got 2 runs off of him? So that should be good enough. LMAO.

No it isn't good enough but atleast they went from 0 runs to 2 runs this time and it most likely would've been more if it wasn't for a base running blunder by Tekotte. I just put blame where blame is a due. The BP is f***ing all sorts of s*** up.

greg775
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 23, 2013 -> 03:10 AM) That would be about the dumbest thing they could do at this moment. He's total buzzkill. He's just so bad in situations that matter. I can't imagine any team giving up much if anything for him considering his performance and salary. Sox are 7-12 and close to oblivion. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 23, 2013 -> 03:27 AM) A-14,950, in case you were wondering. I was at the game. I've had partial season tickets my entire life, going 20+ games a year. Don't think I've seen the stadium this empty. The 14k is generous. caulfield12
The other mistake was assuming "stay the course" with almost the entire roster and coaching staff was actually the right choice. It was the opposite of the typical KW off-season, where too much tinkering and turnover affected chemistry adversely at times. Ventura benefited 100% by NOT being Ozzie last year, and everything in the past could be blamed on the Guillen family. That excuse no longer is playable in 2013. I'm sure the walk-up was under 100. Almost all of those ticket sales were paid in advance. Edited April 23, 2013 by caulfield12

Also Rongey said the team is hitting .200 the last 10 games. Wonderful bats.

fathom
Might be off by a game or two, but I believe Sox only have 5 games this year where they scored a run on a single (out of 19 total games).
