ChiSoxJon
http://cdn3.sbnation.com/uploads/chorus_im...ndard_352.0.jpg Jason Coats Born: 02/24/1990 Birthplace: Dallas, TX College: Texas Christian Height: 6' 2" Weight: 200 Bats: R Throws: R Biography: Signed as a senior out of TCU this winter for a $1,000 after being drafted by Chicago in the 29th round of the 2012 MLB Draft. Missed his senior season at TCU due to a torn ACL. Sign/Draft: Coats was a hot prospect after his sophomore year where he set a school record with 99 hits. Hit .326/.377/.508 this spring. OPS over 1.000 as a sophomore with 13 home runs. A good Cape Cod League season the following summer made him a potential early round pick, but his junior year didn't match the production (.825 OPS). Baltimore drafted him in the 12th round a year ago, but he went back to school and didn't show much improvement. (- Future Sox) He was considered a high draft prospect pre-injury, and was bound to go in the later half of the top 10 rounds. Scouting Report: Coats is a sleeper for 2013 but can easily sneak into the Top 25 White Sox prospects seeing as he is an athletic 5-tool player and a draft steal. Career: Coats begins his pro career in 2013 starting out with Kanny (low A), skipping Bristol and Great Falls. So far he is tearing up the Sally League offensively and is another huge promotion and Sally League All-Star candidate. He leads his team in AVG. at .371 and is a top 5 league leader in doubles, hits, and AVG.
Dizzy Sox
Coats reminds me of Jeff Abbott...hope he can continue to rake and perhaps add some power to the mix.

southsider2k5
Nathaniel Stoltz @stoltz_baseball 7m Jason Coats gets a ton more backspin on the ball than last year. Not sure there's enough raw strength for more than 5 power though.
knightni
Did very well at Charlotte in 2015 (17 HR 81 RBI 11 SB .270 BA .313 OBP .438 SLG .751 OPS) Will be 26 going into 2016, may have a shot at an OF spot on the MLB team if he has a strong Spring. Otherwise, he's probably going back to AAA.
Princess Dye
You'd love to get this guy up and just have him improve the LF defense (Melky to DH) and hopefully have an unexpected Trayce-like debut Maybe a bridge to a morneau signing.
