NorthSideSox72
Considering the weather, the larger than average number of April games, a struggling team, and few games against teams with big followings... I'm surprised they are actually higher. Thought it would be lower. This is good. The May schedule has games against the Cubs, Red Sox, Angels and Marlins. Cubs and Red Sox are always big draws, Angels somewhat so, and Marlins are terrible but interleague games tend to do better than average. So look for Sox attendance to go up quite a bit next month. caulfield12
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 29, 2013 -> 08:29 AM) Paging caufield... With the deep discounting, that means they're either standing still, at best, or going backwards/getting passed. You'd also have to look at the trend of baseball in general. Is April attendance (other than Miami) up or down year-on-year vs. 2012 for MLB?

I like what I'm seeing especially this weekend. I think May will be even better barring this teams total collapse.
CWSpalehoseCWS
IDK why, maybe it was because it was my first game of the year, but I thought there was a slightly more upbeat atmosphere at the park than last year. The staff seemed friendlier. I kind of felt like they were really trying a little harder. But it would be nice if the attendance improved from last year. Finally give the organization something to not BS about.
