Kyyle23
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ May 3, 2013 -> 03:12 PM) There's no way that the woman in red is that little kid's sister. Also, my monitor kind of smells like a beach at low tide now. the guy on the broadcast said she was and the kid seemed to acknowledge it

Quin
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 3, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) A few years ago I caught a four ball (bare handed I might add) and there were two kids next to me. I gave one of them the ball. Their dad works with mine and I later found out it made their day and they loved the ball. Not to gloat, but THAT is what you SHOULD do. When I was 9 or 10, I was hit by a foul ball off of Sandy Alomar's bat. Being that I was a kid and didn't expect getting hit by a ball, it fell out of my lap. My dad tried to get it, but the lady next to me grabbed it and took it, saying it would mean everything to her grandkids. For reference, she looked to be in her early 50s, so it's not like she was an incredibly elder woman who grabbed the ball and beat my dad. Sue the Sox for putting Sandy Alomar in position to hit you with the foul ball 3. Beat down the old lady 4. Kill the grandkids 5. Blame it all on your dad for not getting up fast enough and making a 9-10 year old go through so much trouble

The Ultimate Champion
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 4, 2013 -> 09:21 AM) The PC police strike again. I did that 100% on my own because I figured that if I said something which offended such a nice, happy, optimistic chap in Jake then I had done something wrong. So I re-read my post and then thought "gee I'm an asshole in the morning" and changed it.
kitekrazy
Sad the way things are these days. Memorabilia is not what it use to be. So what if the opposing team hit the home run? The game is really about individuals. You kept it because it was a memory. When I was a kid Billy Williams signed my glove. There were no photos taken for authenticity, kept in a glass case, surveyed it's market value. Nope, I went outside and played baseball with it. It was the only glove I owned. The cool thing about it was that a big league player signed something for you.
