I'm getting to the point where I officially don't like Kepp. I don't know who he reminds me of in the past, but he's pretty lousy at the plate.

Guthrie is so confident when he faces the Sox. Until we start hitting him, he's gonna be Hall of Fame worthy against the Sox.

Serious question: who's the better hitter. Tony Graffanino when he played, or Kepp?

The first name that popped into my head: Darin Erstad...

Not a bad one!

I hope he's ultimately better than Erstad. Gawd, he stunk.

Guthrie has a pretty amazing streak going.

The Royals have won 16 consecutive games that he's started.

BTW, Royals' announcers had a good point. That he's the smallest and softest throwing RHP in a starting rotation in the AL.

Is that true? Obviously, those two factors have always been counted against him, but he's had only one ugly start, against the Nationals when they were hitting everyone.

For some reason, I don't think Axe is gonna be in the rotation the second half of the season.

This Royals team, on paper, is so much better than our White Sox team it's ridiculous.

That reason isn't earth-shattering.

Not sure if I'm buying this, especially if it is time to start assuming Hosmer/Moustakas just aren't going to the be the players KC hoped they would be. Perez hasn't taken the offensive step forward they hoped for either.

Ramirez 3/31 career against Guthrie but no choice but to play him.

We need a utility infielder who can play SS. Alexei hasn't missed a single inning this season (yes, I realize this is what Angel Sanchez was supposed to do, but can we afford to carry another defender who can't hit with our offense?)

Considering he's about our seventh starter.

True, I'm just very surprised he's starting for a major league team despite all our injuries. You'd think we'd have somebody else who could take the mound.

Still way too early to make those assessments.

Look how long it took Alex Gordon to come around. They almost gave up on him.
