It is a bit ironic that they were in first place when the Guggenheim group acquired them and they've been exactly .500 over the last year of play.

 

Without Gonzalez and Carl Crawford, they would really be in a world of hurt.

 

With all that money, they're still looking at using Andy Van Slyke's son at 1B, when every team in the majors could have claimed him for next to nothing.
