ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 10, 2013 -> 11:09 PM) How cold is it at the Cell. 40s or 50s? It's warming up in KC so maybe your winter will end starting this weekend as it has here. High 30's.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (fathom @ May 10, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) By the way, Keppinger and Dunn are now 1 and 2 in terms of worst WAR in all of baseball. Good thing they're batting 2nd and 4th. bWAR maybe. According to fWAR they are 1st (Kepp) and 5th (Dunn) worst hitters. Also, Konerko is 8th worst. Worst pitcher in baseball this year? Mark Buehrle. greg775
Hawk was nice to his partner, Stoney, not correcting him about Tank's walk totals. I wonder if he'll point it out to him in between innings and Stoney will joke about it. They seem more like friends this year.

In a heartbeat. Buehrle is older, worse, and has $37M left on his contract. Rios is younger, better, and has only $13.5M left. The White Sox wouldn't offer that. Mark is due $37 million over 2014/2015. With the buyout, Rios is due $13.5 mil.

With the buyout, Rios is due $13.5 mil. If Toronto would make up the difference, maybe it would be a wise trade. Mark would return to form in an easy division like the Sox's. And Rios is good, but if the team is not a contender it'd be nice to have Mark back as sort of a player/coach.

Sure, everyone would take Mark back at half his salary. But it's not gonna happen. And you do realize that Rios still gets booooed every time he bats in Toronto, right? That's the last guy Toronto would trade for. And the Sox need bats, not arms.

ChiliIrishHammock24
I guess Robin didn't feel like checking the splits on Frieri. LH are hitting like .085 against him. RH are hitting .261. THANKS FOR DOING YOUR HOMEWORK, ROBIN.

caulfield12
Would be nice to not have 2 lefties in a row and our worst RH hitter in Keppinger up here. SIGH. EDIT: Flowers might be worse, but not by WAR or when you include walks and big hits this season (including the tying RBI tonight). Not a surprise Wise and DeAza both K'ed there, lol.
