Dick Allen
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 15, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) Why do we continue to play Keppinger? Because it's probably better to see if he can get it going than watch Tyler Greene try to play MLB.

pettie4sox
Kepp sure does make a LOT of contact to the defenders. What is wrong with this buffon. Work the count and get on base like you were paid to do.

caulfield12
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 15, 2013 -> 11:39 AM) Why do we continue to play Keppinger? Contracts. Greene's defensive issues at 2B. Sooner or later, they'll have no choice, but then, Beckham will be back in about 2 weeks so it won't matter.
Jake
I'm on board with playing Kepp for now, but he's toast as soon as Gordon is back. You still have to find spots to start him against lefties and an occasional righty, but the opportunities will dwindle if he doesn't pick it up. He's the Mark Buehrle of hitters right now. As Farmer used to say about Buehrle but using it for Keppinger,"he bats like he has his car double parked on 35th Street". No. Anything is better than trotting out the worst player in MLB. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2013 -> 05:41 PM) You want Greene at 2b every day? Yes. Are you saying there are people who don't? caulfield12
Of course. Pretty fitting. We'd be a lot better off with Escobar than Keppinger, lol.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 15, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) No. Anything is better than trotting out the worst player in MLB. Yes. Are you saying there are people who don't? Let's all laugh at them. I was sitting right behind first base Saturday night. The throw Greene made on his error, TV did not give justice. There have been many plays I have watched on TV and wondered why the firstbaseman didn't at least stop the ball. This replay would have suggested that, however, the throw was so far wide and bad, if Dunn were a foot taller and as athletic as Michael Jordan, he had zero chance. Noonskadoodle
QUOTE (flavum @ May 15, 2013 -> 01:47 PM) I think the Axelrod/Santiago decision is a pretty easy one. Axe should be no more than a 6th starter on a team when needed. He has really pitched well for us so far, but Hector >>> Dylan no doubt.

caulfield12
That was actually only Escobar's 2nd career homer. But, against the White Sox now....6 for 16, HR, 5 RBI's. OUCH.
