Balta1701
QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2013 -> 04:56 PM) Dunn should have gotten the night off, as he's been destroyed by LHP this year (.069). I'm surprised Beckham's not up yet. Boom.

caulfield12
Dunn all the way up to .175. 16 points higher than he ended 2011. And the same number of homers (actually, he would have 12 if not for the Hicks robbery).
cabiness42
Dunn hitting a HR off a lefty? With the way Konerko and Dunn have been hitting recently, even lefties should be going after Konerko over Dunn.

caulfield12
This next half-inning could be a lowlight in Sox offensive history. (Crosses fingers reverse-jinx is in place and we put up a crooked number somehow.)
caulfield12
Hawk's "muscle memory" for Lester. Against Paulie, 3 out of 23 AB's have left the park (10/23=.435, 3 doubles, 3 homers, 7 RBI's, 3 BB's) Against Dunn, smaller sample size 1/6, 2 K's, 3 BB's
Balta1701
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 20, 2013 -> 08:36 PM) This next half-inning could be a lowlight in Sox offensive history. (Crosses fingers reverse-jinx is in place and we put up a crooked number somehow.) There's an extra base hit in the worst offensive inning ever. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ May 20, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) Still would have preferred Gillaspie to Greene. We have to see what Conor has to offer against lefties and at the worst, I think he can see more pitches than Greene will. Greene should be retired swiftly by a pro like Lester. Wrong! Greene playing for his roster spot.
caulfield12
If we could "man up" Greene's defense, he should be able to take that role away from Angel Sanchez. The funny thing is that he was always known as a good fielding, poor hitting SS when he was a regular.

Gimenez and Greene must realize there's some heat on them to hold their positions.

caulfield12
For about the UMPTEENTH time this season, hard to know what to make out of this team. Nights like this, when your fifth starter is posed to beat one of the better AL teams' aces, they look like they could compete for a playoff spot because of their pitching. Then you look at Konerko, Keppinger and Flowers and think, well, maybe not. Edited May 21, 2013 by caulfield12
