Didn't someone else just write a similar article about the Sox lack of injuries?

i think it was fangraphs, attempting to use "extraordinary" health as one of the outliers causing consistent pre-season underestimations of the White Sox eventual record

Good call, that's what it was. Cool to see a trainer get such personal credit.

Herm has lost some weight the last few years. Wonder how much?

He had a surgery to help lose weight. I'm not sure of the exact amount but he looks much better and is much healthier at 60 than he was in his 40's.

His BIF (Butt in front) has dissappeared. My buddy used to do an impression of Herm running on to the field, it cracked me up every time.

Was it the "lap band" or gastric bypass?

I'm not sure. I didn't ask details. I know he had the surgery lost a bunch of weight, gained some back and is now down again. He has really battled it and come out strong.
