caulfield12
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2013 -> 01:46 PM) Not really, just the last few days. Viciedo was hitting something like .392 and walking more than he was striking out. Even though these games are magnified, the idea of playing Danks/Tekotte/Wise is laughable, especially since Dunn seems to be dead and Konerko's on a pace for only 15-18 homers. Rios is ice cold...as bad as he was good during his hitting streak.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 30, 2013 -> 02:47 PM) He has future 1b all over him. Perhaps. If they could get him to improve enough where he makes some of the simple plays he screws up, he could be decent in LF. His arm is great for run prevention. The rest of him in the OF is great for run creation.

The Ginger Kid
In a weird way, this is good. We've seen what Williams has done when a team has underachieved. I'm curious to see what Hahn will do.
caulfield12
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 30, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) He hit pretty well. In reality he and dunn should platoon at DH which is f***ing sad. Manto should be fired because his philosophy was good 10 years ago. If you're going to play Viciedo only 1/4th or 1/3rd of the time against LHP, and play Danks/Tekotte/Wise in LF, you're just giving up on the season and fulfilling the Marty Prophecy...which is a sell off of everyone, and you might as well just DFA Dunn while you're at it and start over completely. Heck, just promote Trayce Thompson and move DeAza to LF, so we can get a Top 5 pick in the draft and hopefully not blow it. I don't think Jerry liked what happened between Kenny and Ozzie, and the latter was the first to go.
caulfield12
If you look at one of the keys again, it's Keppinger's lack of range and defensive "ability" allowing an earned run to score when it would have been a fairly simple play for Beckham...worst-case scenario, the ball stays on the infield and is at least knocked down. Harry Chappas
Wonder if Peavy is hurt. With the way the pen has been used and the fact that scoring 5 more runs are not possible with this team, taking Peavy out is a waste of time.

If you were working for someone for many years and he decides to move on and you get his job, if he is still there and technically your boss even though he insists he won't interfere, and goes to great lengths not do, you have to be affected by his presence. Nathan Jones not exactly doing a good job holding his roster spot, either. 1-2 mistake pitch smoked out of the park. 96 MPH...adios. SIGH.
