Wow what pathetic pitch selection. You know the guy is trying to pull it and you throw him a curve? Ventura left Axelrod in two batters too long, but with this offense it probably doesn't matter. Please make some changes

Still can't fault Dylan tonight. You take tonight's start 100 times out of 100. Unfortunately our offense

Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see we don't win unless we hit home runs and we're not hitting that many home runs. This lineup wouldn't scare a 40-year-old has been pitcher.

If Thornton came in to start this inning and they scored, Ventura would have been roasted.

True, but that's because I despise Thornton.

Nah, leaving Axelrod in was correct. Even if the bullpen came in and crapped the game away the offense would still be to blame.

I'vs got to be honest, I don't like bringing in relievers with a runner in scoring position and no outs, so I was fine with the decision.

Also, Matt Thornton is just a total coward and should not be used in high leverage situations if possible.

I'm not going to use the word coward, but ever since 2009, I've worried about Thornton in these situations.

It will be nice to have a fresh start and maybe someone to have more confidence in for 2014.

That will be a 12-2 streak for the A's if they win tonight. Bad timing, playing the Cubs off the Sunday comeback against Cincy...and now the A's. Then again, we at least swept the Marlins and had SOME momentum finally getting back to .500 for the first time in weeks.

Game, set and match.

Back to the tough times in Oakland. We're not at the low point of 6 games under, but it feels like a low point.

HORRIBLE throw by DeAza.

We just can't have either DeAza or Viciedo in the outfield, lol.

And they were all so good last year until DeAza started having problems in CF in the 2nd half last year.
