LittleHurt05
My bad guys. I turned the game on right in the 8th inning as the Axelrod/BFBC pitching duel blew up. I jinxed it.
flavum
Did you really ever think they were going to win tonight? Awful awful team. They got by with good starting pitching and a closer that doesn't blow when they do have a chance to win. This team is going to lose 85-90 games for sure. Well, as bad as they are, they're playing a lot of even worse teams the rest of the month, besides Oakland (the only .500 or above team on the schedule for weeks)... Which will mean they'll muddle into July with the front office spinning that they're still in contention. 16,416. Not even visiting fans want to see the White Sox, considering how hot the A's have been the last two weeks. greg775
The White Sox have one, horrible baseball team. Anybody who denies that, look at a picture of Bartolo Colon. He could have pitched 12 innings and we wouldn't have scored. Please fire or demote somebody, Robin. Edited June 1, 2013 by greg775

pettie4sox
Flowers should be the backup with Gimenez getting the starting nod until they bring Josh P up. I am sick and f***ing tired of Flowers and his s***ty pitch calling.

That's crazy. We're 28th in visiting attendance. Don't you think that says more about the Athletics than the White Sox? Or does that ruin your agenda too much? Oakland hasn't averaged 21k in 6 years. They last averaged 30k 21 years ago. But tonight's crowd was solely because of the White Sox. GMAFB.
Chicago White Sox
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 31, 2013 -> 11:18 PM) It's like he keeps expecting the team from the first 4 1/2 months last year to just magically appear out of thin air if he's just patient enough. Yeah, I think it's critical for a manager to have a certain amount of patience, but at some point you have to shake things up a bit. First off, move Dunn down in the lineup and never play him against a lefty again. Instead give Casper Wells some god damn at-bats or else call someone else up more useful. Start playing Gimenez more against righties. Move De Aza down in the lineup. Bat Gillaspie leadoff against righties if necessary. Group as many of our "hot" hitters at the top of the lineup and hope we can string multiple hits together in a row. Anything is better than seeing this same mess of a lineup every single day. greg775
This is why columnists LIKE Mariotti were a good thing. Not saying him, by all accounts he's a jerk, but somebody incredibly critical. Might fire up the Sox or their fanbase. Sox are suddenly 4 under .500 again. They should be a game out or tied, but nooo, had to lose 3 to the Cubs and can't beat Colon. I mean there's no controversy ever, cause we have fair media members that work for the papers and on the radio/TV. Sox should be ripped to shreds by at least one local columnist. By now, Mariotti would be tearing into Manto, if not Robin; and burying guys like Dunn, Flowers, maybe even Paulie. The controversy might wake up this lifeless team. Remember how mad Reinsdorf and Hawk would get at Mariotti? They stir things up. But we got nobody now to do Mariotti's job.
