fathom
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 08:17 PM) This team can score runs and hit. We just need to Dunn far far away from those situations... preferably on the bench. They can?
caulfield12
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 02:17 PM) He's not an idiot, he just seems to have no strategy for how to try and push different buttons. And he was a position player...who led the world in hitting when he was in college and consistently put up 800-900 OPS years before the steroids era. Ironic that our problem is offense and defense, not pitching.

Harry Chappas
Stuck with last nights game, going to cut the grass and watch the hawks Adam Dunn is pathetic. f***ing enough already.
caulfield12
And the White Sox Will To Lose Rule strikes again. Leave runners in scoring position with 2 outs or less, the other team will score 92% of the time in the next at-bat. Might as well be a former Sox prospect to add insult to injury, lol. It is fitting, Cespedes jersey and bling-bling day at the O.co (worst stadium name in MLB history)

caulfield12
The dire predictions of under 1.2 million in attendance (with a Astros/Cubs/Marlins full rebuild) might be on their way to happening THIS YEAR if the current trend continues. Dunn is just impossible to cheer for anymore.

Probably Gordon Beckham hitting 2nd, lol... Quintana doesn't have that putaway pitch. He keeps getting ahead of hitters but is going to end up with almost 30 pitches that inning. Which will inevitably lead to the next problem...our middle relievers in the 5th/6th innings. Edited June 1, 2013 by caulfield12

Stop with this. That would mean trading the likes of Sale, and you know that's not going to happen.

Maybe not 1.2 million, but one could easily imagine 1.4 - 1.5 million. And we have to hope and pray Sale stays healthy. flavum
Quintana basically has a season's worth of production now. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/q/quintjo01.shtml All in all, a very good first year. Great job by the Sox getting guys like Quintana and Axelrod from other organizations. Now, how about some position players?

Not 100% sure where they got that one. Colon first AL pitcher with two shutouts in a season at age 40 or older since Dennis Eckersley. 2nd oldest in OAK history to throw a shutout. Don Sutton beat the White Sox 18 years ago...was a bit older than Bartolo. Edited June 1, 2013 by caulfield12
caulfield12
Sigh. Keppinger with a horrible at-bat to follow up Gillaspie not moving the runner.
fathom
They should be doing a hit-and-run every chance they get with Keppinger up to bat and a runner on base. Have to stop sitting around waiting for a 3 run homer on this team with average power.
