White Sox RC/27 (AL Ranks).

38. Rios, 5.57

De Aza 4.04

Ramirez 3.93

Konerko 3.72

The only Sox hitters in Top 80.

OWAR over 0.5, the only ones are Rios (1.3), Ramirez and Gillaspie.

And Konerko's hurt again....SIGH.

I think the writing is on the wall for PK.

Well, no shocker yet another pitcher entering a game with an ERA over 5 starting against the Sox shuts down our offense.

The Sox cure EVERY bad pitchers problems.

De Aza is not a everyday player he is a 4th OF.

I'm really starting to believe that. He's not strong enough defensively to play CF everyday (long-term at least) and he doesn't hit enough to be a good corner outfielder. Whether you stick him in LF or CF, it seems like he'll be an average player at best. He'd make a terrific 4th/platoon outfielder for a lot of teams, but the problem for us is he's already in the process of being paid like a starter.

The only good news is Trayce Thompson had a strong May. He might be ready for the starting CF job by opening day 2015.

$2,075,000.

No way they offer him arbitration for 2014 at this rate. He might not even last all of 2013 in a Sox uniform.

JJ Hardy had two homers off Verlander today. That doesn't happen often. Five homers for the Tigers.

You can probably offer it to him one more time with little risk, but unfortunately the arbitration process rewards poor performers. His salary is likely to double even if he finishes the season with a .700 OPS.

I wonder if next year we're going to hear stories from Hawk about how coming out of spring training this year he was telling Stone that the team was in trouble (we heard that story last year about 2011).

What happened?

Milled into the back of Ramirez when he was making the catch for 3rd out in the last inning.

YAAAAAAAAASSSSSS! 3-3 ballgame. Don't stop now, boys! :)

Anyone see that story on Casey Gillaspie, brother of Cone-r?

He's at Wichita St. 6-4, 220. Power hitter.

He'll be a junior next year.

I saw he homered off of possible Sox draft pick R. Stanek (unlikely to fall to the Sox). With that said, Stanek's fastball seemed well short of the power heater he's advertised as having.
