The last time it really felt exciting was when Youkilis was dominating for 2-3 weeks last summer.

 

Then the air just went out of the balloon on both him and the rest of the team...and it became a matter of survival, like the end of 2008 again.

 

 

And maybe that game where they beat the Tigers the final game of a series, Reed closed it out and it felt like they were actually going to hold them off....alas, didn't work out that way. Pretty sure the lead was 3 games then.

Puig singled in his first AB, hitting leadoff.

 

Ramon Hernandez and Scott Van Slyke (could have been claimed by any team in baseball) hitting 4/5 for the Dodgers tonight.
