*STREAKBUSTER* GT 6/4: SOX @ SEA

The Sox have actually had some surprising success against Felix in the past. In 15 starts, he is 3-5 with a 3.69 ERA. Sox are 8-5 in games he starts. Not that it means much with this current offensive funk, but they beat him the first weekend of the season.

But not nearly as much success recently for the Sox.

It's like Verlander in his first 2-3 years in the big leagues against the Sox, vs. now.

Though the star right-hander (King Felix) allowed four runs in 6 1-3 innings to drop to 0-2 with a 6.50 ERA in his last three starts - all on the road - versus Chicago (24-31), he's 2-0 with a 2.17 ERA in five against the White Sox at Safeco Field. Hernandez has not faced them there since 2011, but he's yielded two runs and 13 hits and struck out 24 while going 1-0 in the last three home outings.

Tomorrow is a day game. He will be in there. Peavy likes throwing to Flowers, although Gimenez caught a nice game with Jake on the mound a couple of starts ago.

For whatever reason, Flowers is much better in day games (.798 OPS) than night games (.588), and given the matchups the next two days, I'd probably go with Gimenez tonight and Flowers tomorrow. Won't make a difference most likely these two starting pitchers.

Jayson Nix putting up a Beckham-esque 613 OPS in full-time play for the Yankees so far...

Yay, a leadoff hit.

Nice approach by Beckham...JUST foul, by about a foot or so.

And he undoes it with STUPID base-running. Runner on 3rd, one out. If you're scoring at home, don't bother with that sequence of throws.

After 4 batters, Sox have one bad base running play and one player who lost track of the count.

Was there ANY possibility DeAza was going to be out at 3B?

Because sacrificing yourself to keep Alejandro from being a dead duck was the ONLY reason to get in a rundown there.

Nope, Chavez has an awful arm according to Hawk and Stoney

Why should Beckham not make boners like everyone else?

Too much "energy," bounce and aggressiveness on the basepaths, lol.

Coupled with below average speed.

Danks with a lousy throw....drifted back and didn't get himself behind it (see Puig for the Dodgers)....Danks caught back on his heels.

So yet another mental error for the White Sox. Usually 3-5 per game that are easily identifiable.
