Amazingly, the A's would be only 1/2 game behind the Rangers if they win this one.

Gee. Odds of Dunn coming back from 0-2 are about 1.2%

Maybe if the odds were 1.8% that ball would've carried out..........

7 games back again. One game away from starting to think about tearing the team apart and looking more towards 2014.

You're kidding yourself if you think this roster is contending this season

Too bad Cespides didn't drop the ball the way he flicked the glove at it. Pretty impressive flick. I thought that might be a Cell home run but I wasn't as convinced as Hawk. No way. It didn't look like a certain HR.

Dunn hitting more line drives means there will be more outs like that. With the way the ball had been flying, very surprised to see that one didn't go. Can't be mad at Hawk for saying what I was thinking.

He has been s*** the entire day. I dont care if he just missed that one.

The funny thing is, if that goes out, I bet you're riding his jock. Yeah he's been terrible but at least he went out battling.

At least Dunn didn't try to pull it.

THIS!!!

If Dunn can stay in that approach I have much more faith in him.

Tough loss, but until the Tigers shore up that pen they aint running away just yet. JUST GOTTA FLIPPIN HIT!!!!

Seriously need to bring up Phegley & let him see if he can stay hot. It's not like Flowers is a defensive specialist haha.

Love what I am seeing from Beck & if De Aza can focus on line drives & just getting on base rather than the long ball I think we can turn it around offensively.

I'll have whatever you're smoking, lol.

Was it over when the Germans tried to turn the Titanic?

You realize, we've had the easiest schedule in MLB up until now and we're already 8 games .500 and missing Floyd and Peavy? Konerko is obviously not 100% physically or simply got old in baseball terms, Dunn is Dunn...the bullpen's a mess, there are just way too many holes to make a contender out of this team.

Dunn has looked better this past week. Last I checked, his OPS is actually higher than the team OPS. I'm far more concerned about a guy like PK who just looks lost and isn't even hustling anymore.

I officially gave up on Dunn after he used the "hit it where it is pitched" approach en route to bashing about 8-10 home runs, then immediately went into another 1-for-30 type funk. The big fella is a lousy baseball player. I agree I would have praised him greatly had that shot to left sailed over the fence, but it was just another out. Funny he's not even worth $1-3 million a year anymore, much less whatever astronomical amount he's making.

Memo to White Sox players:

Losing 9 of 10 and dropping to last place this time of year is not making you any friends in the Sox front office. Just as fans have free time to go to games, they are quickly eliminating you and your high priced beer, soda and hot dogs from their list of summer entertainment possibilities. I know you probably don't care, but it is rude of you to treat those who sign your checks this way.
