CaliSoxFanViaSWside
Nice inning , hard to imagine Ax shutting down that BJ lineup with all the lefties in it. Would be nice to see the Sox put up 5+ runs.

caulfield12
Despite the demises of Konerko, Viciedo and Gillaspie, we actually scored 3 runs in an inning. Progress.
southsider2k5
Mark Gonzales @MDGonzales 1m Manto said before game that De Aza finally got out of HR stroke, starting hitting more up the middle. BA has climbed from .239 to .274.

southsider2k5
Axelrod and Giminez having all kinds of problems getting together on pitches. It also looks like Axe is having problems with his release point. He spent the first half of that inning unable to get the ball down in the zone. caulfield12
Is there a database that has an AL average for ERA & WHIP for 4th/5th starters? I imagine that would be a bit difficult to track, since it's going to be very subjective in some cases with injuries, spot starters, fill-ins, minor league recalls...hard to isolate like it is for individual positions in the batting order or LF/CF/RF, etc.
caulfield12
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 10, 2013 -> 07:05 PM) Battling Ax pitches out of it. Battle Axe? 61 pitches through 3. Not the most economical, but, as usual, he's containing the big inning. Edited June 11, 2013 by caulfield12
