It's truly incredible how many awful things this team does at the plate. Not only that, but it's freaking hilarious that Ventura keeps letting Flowers face the righty closer.

I was thinking the same thing. OMG what a fitting ending to this game.

How is Ventura still employed? This is the worst managed Sox team I've seen in the 20 years or so I've been watching baseball closely.

For those that aren't watching, Danks just got picked off at 2nd to end the game. If this game doesn't get changes to be made, nothing will. Jordan Danks is a truly awful baseball player.

Quite honestly, what changes are there to be made? Maybe it's just be, but I fully expect this team to remain mostly the same until pieces are inevitably dealt.

Send Flowers and Jordan Danks down. Move Alexei from the 2nd spot (where even Ventura has questioned if it's had a big impact on Alexei's power). The only time there's been a change in the last month or so was when De Aza had a tummy ache.

I saw iit through gameday. It came u[\p pickoff attempt at2B and stayed there for awhile. I thought to myself this can't be possible but it was. Terrible. I read that Wise was at AAA for a rehab assignment. The writer said that Wise had been playing awful this year and might be DFA when healthy and they would keep Danks. Who has been playing terrible? Can't be anyone worse than Jordan Danks.

Think that's the second time Danks has been picked off in the ninth. I keep remembering Hawks mantra: you win 60,lose 60 and don't give away any of the other 42. Boy have we ever.
