I don't remember a week where I've seen as many angry bat flips by Konerko as I've seen the past few games.

He's seeing the end of his career rapidly approaching

You guys are right.

I thought his contract was a little longer than it was. He should def bring in a solid piece as well.

What "piece" would we be looking for?

As Jake said earlier in this thread and I've said in another thread, Mike Olt makes a ton of sense for both teams.

The Rangers are in need of an OFer and Olt is blocked at 3B by Beltre. By the time Beltre is gone Joey Gallo should be about ready to take over 3B for them.

Limited playing time but made the bigs quickly. Last year he didn't show a lot in less than 40 at bats. I see he had 5 hitsd and 5 RBI's so that might be encouraging

Sox one hit thru 5 against worst team in AL.

This pleases me at least in that I picked up Dallas Keuchel on a couple of fantasy teams. Not a bad strategy to pick up probable starters who are facing the White Sox.

Look at his #'s in AA last year.

Some believe he could be a corner OF'er if need be, as well.

He has been hurt for part of this year and is just getting started, so don't read too much into his early season stats for this year.

With all their injuries to the pitching staff, it's more likely they use him to acquire a starting pitcher.

Funny you say that, I have just the guy you're looking for...

Never seen this Keuchel before, which I am assuming will be the excuse after the game for our hitters, but ithe must have a lot of sink on his pitches based on all the groundouts the sox have today

Doesn't help that Alexi has the 4th lowest pitches seen at bat with 3.39 per AB.Not too selective.

We can fill two of their holes in one move. Kablam

If you give up Peavy and Rios, it's unlikely one team would be willing to give up enough in return to make it worth it for the Sox.

I would be asking for a lot more for Rios than Peavy if it were me.
