DirtySox
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 01:04 PM) 5 shutout innings for Johnson. Now in a rain delay. Bah. He wasn't throwing many pitches either. Was hoping to see him go deep today.
BigHurt3515
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 12:56 PM) Thompson 3-3 (all singles) .264 now!
DirtySox
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 01:12 PM) .264 now! I'm still quite bullish on Trayce. He has to be the system's number 2 prospect behind Johnson.
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) I'm still quite bullish on Trayce. He has to be the system's number 2 prospect behind Johnson. And an Iso OBP of .122, which is quite nice. K/PA rate for the year at 23.2%, which is an improvement for him too. Balta1701
“@KnightsBaseball: Morel's single in the 1st gives him 59 hits on the season, passing Josh Phegley for the team lead. However, Morel was stranded on 2nd. 0-0.”
flavum
Rienzo gave up a 2-out solo homer in the 5th, but he has 9 k's.
fathom
So I assume Phegley is injured?

Y2Jimmy0
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 06:36 PM) Erik Johnson went 5 IP, 3H, 1 BB, 4 SOs. Only needed 60 pitches for the rain shortened start. EJ's ERA is down to 2.23. I bet he didn't touch 90 mph though..................
CWSpalehoseCWS
QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 08:33 PM) Rienzo gave up a 2-out solo homer in the 5th, but he has 9 k's. Nice to see him raise that K rate. He's got bullpen arm written all over him.

oldsox
Back to Trayce, He is having a good enough year that the Sox will have to add him the the 40 man roster in the off season, or he will get picked up by some team.

It's about the normal time for that for him anyway right? Gives him a shot at earning a callup in the middle of next season if he keeps it up and I'd be ok with that schedule. This is his 5th year of MiLB and he'll need to be protected going into next season. I can't see that decision taking more than half a second to make. southsider2k5
I am guessing there will be plenty of rosters spots opening up shortly.
