flavum
Mark Gonzales was talking about them maybe bringing up Johnson for Friday's doubleheader since they get the extra roster spot. Doesn't seem like a move they need to make with off days on Monday, Thursday, and the following Monday. They don't need to pitch anyone on short rest, so a bullpen arm would make more sense. CWSpalehoseCWS
He's got to be battling some nerves in this start. Those walks are very uncharacteristic of him this year. Those strikeouts are promising though.

winninguglyin83
not a bad debut. dealing with nerves, travel, new environment. He's our most ready prospect -- gives us another starting option for next season. With Sale, Santiago, Quintana, Axelrod, Danks and Johnson, we can deal Peavy (if he gets healthy) and try to get a piece to help for the future. You're on the clock, Mr. Hahn. caulfield12
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 23, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) That's just not going to happen. If he keeps pitching like this another 2 or 3 starts, they're going to pull him from the rotation. If he's lucky, they'll wait until Peavy comes back. It's not like the Royals are an offensive powerhouse. You keep forgetting, this is the same organization that basically gave up on Lucas Harrell, and Harrell has more talent/ability than Axelrod, at least in the eyes of the scouts. Maybe not his heart, but heart and moxie only can get you so far. Edited June 23, 2013 by caulfield12
